It’s sort of weird how long it’s been since Rush Duel came out and still nothing. You would have thought they’d launch it when they released the anime/video games in TCG land but nope. I know Japan has a much wider card game market, but with a game backed by the YGO brand and easier to grasp for kids than the current game seems like it would give it a niche. Perhaps Konami has market research we don’t see or they’re just too risk averse.
Yeah, it’s very possible they’ve studied the situation and have insight we don’t.
Still, as a returning player, I find the game fiendishly complex, and I’m worried about getting new players to love the game and to want to keep playing (as was a recent Konami shareholder, who raised these concerns at a meeting earlier this year).
