Are your files going to be safer with Synology hard drives?

    i rolled out two 16 bay rackmounted synology boxes at a printing company i worked at about 8 years ago so they could stop archiving all their files on cds and just copy them over the network and then have an offsite backup. i wonder if that all bit the dust because of this
