I guess this is about SSRIs / SNRIs and not so much about tricyclics?
Personally I don’t know anyone who ever came off SSRIs. Though to be fair, some of the people just didn’t function at all without them before
I’ll be on Prozac forever, but it’s better than being off of it.

Out of all people I know who are on SSRIs / SNRIs not a single one said they want to get off them - yeah there are downsides (except seemingly for the case of my mother, but she uses them off-label and can probably live with loss of libido), but the alternative is just worse.
