Some of you may have noticed the recent explosion of malicious bots uploading illegal material onto lemmy communities.

Communities have been forced to shutdown, or restricting their users privileges. We’ve seen this before across small communities and Fediverse projects alike, and unfortunately this is part of the growing pains of running a community on the internet.

What does this mean for Rabbitea.rs? Put simply, we have put contingencies in place. Uploads to rabbitea.rs - and cached images from other sites - are scanned and matched to known hashes of abusive material, and will be reported to the authorities in the proper jurisdiction of the uploader.

This is a major problem on the internet, and we take it seriously. Thanks for your continued support.
