Pick two opposite corners of a cube with side length 1. What is the minimum length of a path between these two points, assuming we travel on the cube's surface?

I’m sure there’s a more technical explanation, but my assumption is two lines forming 45 degree angles at the corner of the points so ((1^2+0.52)^0.5)*2= 5^0.5 or square root of 5 or roughly 2.236

I thought it would be 2*sqrt(1.5)=2.449

Or for side x it will be 2sqrt(1.5x^2)
