        I’m not convinced that preventing Facebook and YouTube from tracking children is a wrong thing.

          So outlaw tracking children.

          PieFed/Lemmy isn’t doing that, yet it’s affected by this ban. So obviously that wasn’t their concern.

            It is already outlawed in most places, yet it still happens. And I think we can all agree that lemmy isn’t actually the problem here.

              Yet this ill-thought out social media ban doesn’t care.

              Banning teens from accessing the social and cultural aspects of the Internet and their social support networks will not help solve childhood depression.

              But rest assured because this ill-thought out social media ban allows children to watch the front-page alt-right propaganda on YouTube because hey they can’t sign in due to no more account to customise their feed and the ban doesn’t stop them watching content when logged out.
