When you get your duck friend, you’re supposed to whisper a cool name into their ear, and they’ll be yours forever. I went with the name Foucault, after the creator of the Foucault Pendulum (Léon Foucault). A simple and elegant way to not only showcase the Earth’s rotation, but also your approximate latitudinal location too (because the time it takes to complete a full rotation is influenced by your distance from the poles).

Anyway, science stuff aside my duck friend is incredibly soft, and has little beans in the bottom half so they can sit upright without having to balance them! I love giving them hugs and seeing them every day when I get back from work. Being that they are a tall and thin duck, I find them pretty difficult to photograph. Hopefully this side shot of them laying in bed is enough to showcase their cuteness!
