The European Union’s €90 billion loan for Ukraine will happen “one way or another”, Ursula von der Leyen has said in a visit to Kyiv that was largely overshadowed by Hungary’s last-minute decision to veto the financial programme.
“This word cannot be broken,” the president of the European Commission said on Tuesday, referring to the agreement reached by the 27 EU leaders in December.

Yeah it’s infuriating enough blocking once, but like for every major deal the last decade. 😤
