Quoting K. Adenauer’s The Real Truth About the German Reich: Debunking the Marxist Myths, pgs. 1, 4 and 10:
For decades lying communist historians have been unfairly demonizing the German folk by saying that most, if not all of them were complicit in the rise of National Socialism, that many other European folks willingly collaborated with the National Socialists, and that these collaborators, along with the National Socialists themselves, were somehow responsible for war crimes. This is, to put it as politely as possible, the untruest thing in the world.
The truth is that not a single person anywhere in the world ever came anywhere even close to supporting the Nazis. Not the millions of Germans who allegedly fought for them. Not the millions of Germans who supposedly voted for them. Not the numerous neutral states that purportedly marketed products to them. Not the Austrians. Not the Italians. Not the Japanese. Not the French capitalists. Not the Danish ones. Not the Dutch ones. Not the Norwegian ones. Not the American ones. Not the Southeastern European ones. Not the Zionists in Palestine. Not the Finnish anticommunists. Not the Ukrainian anticommunists. Not any of NATO’s employees. Nobody — and I mean literally nobody — ever supported the Nazis. (Except for Joseph Stalin, of course, but that goes without saying.)
My evidence for this comes from thousands of interviews and testimonies that I have collected after the war. As I shall show throughout this work, not a single one of the thousands of people whom I interviewed said that they supported the Nazis. Precisely the opposite was true: every single one of them, without exception, opposed the Nazis from the very microsecond that the Nazi Party was founded on 24 February 1920.

Chapter two covers how the Schutzstaffel had no involvement in any war crimes whatsoever. As a matter of fact, so few people ever even joined this organization that it might not have even existed. In only one instance did I find somebody who was almost involved in a war crime. After his commander ordered him to fire on civilians, he fell to his knees and screamed ‘Please please please don’t make me massacre these subhumans and steal their valuables pleeeeeease!’ The commander was instantly persuaded to grant his request; he never wanted to give the command anyway.

The eighth and final chapter proves that even Adolf Hitler himself had always opposed Nazism. The table talks reveal that every day he said that he really, really, really did not want to kill anybody or steal anything. As he said over and over again, ‘Oof, guys, I am so sorry but this isn’t for me. I actually don’t want to annihilate millions of Jews, I don’t want to eradicate Marxism from the Earth, and I don’t want to reestablish a Germanic empire by conquering Europe. This was all one big mistake and I wish that none of it ever happened. I’m only doing all of this because the left is forcing me to. They’re the ones everybody should be angry at, not me.’
(Emphasis added.)
To this day, historians are still struggling to explain how the Third Reich could have mobilized millions of Europeans for its mission when they were all unanimously opposed to it in every single way.
Adenauer’s proposed explanation is this: blaming the perpetrators for their atrocities is outrageously unfair. On the contrary, everybody did stuff for the Third Reich solely to spite us; we alienated them not only by struggling for workers’ rights but also by assaulting antisemites. Therefore, the most reasonable explanation is that the atrocities were entirely our faults in every single way, irrespective of the fact that we weren’t even alive back then.
Oh, and by the way: I should mention that Adenauer’s book won the National Book Award, the Duff Cooper Prize, the Pulitzer Prize, the Cundill Prize in Historical Literature, the Antonovych Prize, the Lionel Gelber Prize, and is a New York Times best-seller that is a mandatory reading in Floridan schools. How could it possibly be wrong?
took me a moment to check the calendar 😭
Thank you, I thought I had an aneurysm.
Nobody — and I mean literally nobody — ever supported the Nazis. (Except for Joseph Stalin, of course, but that goes without saying.)
Lmao.
mandatory reading in Floridan schools.
why am i not surprised
I am surprised. Reading in Florida?
I was confused for a moment myself, but this is an April Fools joke, and a well made one at that!
Lol, its the 2nd time today I fall for an April 1st joke 😄
Now lets get serious. Mark my words, very soon itll be “nobody supported the zionists, not me siree”.
Great work as always comrade! We’ll get those dastardly Marxists one day and bask in the glory of each of us owning our own toothbrush!
I wish I’d seen this on my other insurance so I can “boost” it for visibility! 😂
Thanks for the laugh! Genuinely great piece of satire :)
see it’s funny because this is genuinely not too far off from what i was taught as a kid…in florida, naturally
Ngl, if not for the obviously over the top ‘quotes’ of the SS guy and Hitler, it seemed indistinuishable from real anticommunist work…
Good job. comrade
Indeed, it was all a communist stalinist plot to make himself look like a good guy. By propping up a comically reactionary movement in Germany that staunchly opposed everything the Soviets represented, in paper because of course we all know they were just a totalitarian regime, the Soviets would gain legitimacy by fighting against this comically evil regime.
