Do you think we will ever see support for Android Auto? It’s my understanding it requires elevated permissions to function, but I wonder if there is a way to have a working sand boxed implementation.

    Of course not, Graphene os is privacy and security-focused; so if it connected to your car it wouldn’t be private or safe any more.

      I was thinking in a way similar to how GrapheneOS handles Google Play Services. But the technicalities of it being a possibility are outside my scope of understanding.

      I think it would he awesome if someone could reverse engineer Android Auto and rewrite an open source implementation.
