The Reddit Contributor Program (where you, US people only, can earn money from your Reddit Karmas by gaining upvotes from your posts) and Streak Day Challenge (where you must post, comment and upvote every day) are gonna destroy Reddit!!! It’s not hard as if it were puzzling to think because it’s so-so obvious.
Specifically if wanted moreso, these two will eventually besmirch and shit-to-kill the Reddit’s reputation of awesome contents to users (the most important to Reddit). Opportunistic and noxious and fame-chasing people are gonna ever make fallacious and fake and clickbait posts on Reddit unstoppable just for upvotes and karmas into money 💰💰💰 and fame as in topvoted among posts on the feed like syndicating influencers gone gore and bitch!!!
Now with the help of AI (whether text or multimedia or conception), it will ease them creating way more shittier ever posts that they lazily won’t even think to thoroughly look or proofread.
So will ever no more genuine and very human and truthful posts on Reddit like clickbait videos incessantly fucking recommended on Youtube and Facebook and Instagram. People, the real Reddit users will certainly frustrate and lose trust to Reddit site by bad and unwanted contents. Reddit relies on (good/credible) contents literally, because Reddit is not a people connecting site like Facebook or Tinder, a video sharing like Youtube, or a personalized gallery like Instagram. Have you ever seen a celebrity or an official or a figured/well-known person “usually” posting on Reddit like how they do on Youtube or Instagram or Twitter or even to very few ones Tumblr (e.g. One of reasons I visit Tumblr are Taylor Swift’s direct posts and official announcements I’ve gotten.)?
Reddit was wonderfully flourished into its happily perfect metamorphosis because random typical people (having different lives and carrying own real stories and great ideas) on Reddit were just sharing information and interacting with each other for information, whether informative, entertaining, personal or impact. I admit that Reddit (and Internet too) had transformed my perception, my mindset, my thinking, my understanding to myself, my understanding to reality around me and my understanding on how a human should live (happily) and do well to this world, all just because I gained knowledge or learned insights from different people far around the world who (benevolently) just shared or just spoke straight from their thoughts and core.
Upon these new implementations, now Reddit will be truly filled with trash and also vehemence (by worthless and destructive posts) that people are gonna just leave. Only naive and slack people will just stay—very shortly until they wake up by their stupidity of reading and seeing those unmoderated AI-generated soulless staged clickbait posts and comments, realizing why they should stay and use more Reddit, a becoming deadland of crap?
Because of these, I don’t have an enthusiasm and reason absolutely anymore to visit Reddit as people on Reddit might have begun shitty posting for earning upvotes🔝 este money💰. I still don’t and surely will never ever regret manually deleting my account and app. Also, I’m starting to delete my web history about Reddit and include it on blocklist of websites whenever I browse on Internet “for advices or information”. As a former Reddit user, I was slightly affected by API and mods’ protests. I felt unfortunate when Reddit is becoming inaccessible and exclusive to outsiders. NOW I’M FUCKING PISSED ONCE CLICKBAIT/UPVOTE-ACHIEVING POSTS PREVAIL, LOSING REAL AND WORTHY POSTS IDLED ON REDDIT TO BENEFITING AI. SO NOTHING EVER TO VISIT AND BROWSE REDDIT ALL SHITTY. Already too late if ever Reddit reverts or compensates. Last to thank Reddit for a great experience to begone in my Internet life.
Bless Lemmy I found, and hope it will flourish but must not ever follow Reddit’s fate.
End Rant.
Not gunna lie, this is a lot to read lol
