Four years after its release, Nintendo and DeNA have confirmed that they will soon stop adding new content to the mobile game Mario Kart Tour.

    Imo, that was intentional to get double dip profita on mostly the same work.

    I fully believe all of this is just holdover for the next mainline mario kart title, which will be on the next switch device within the first 3 months of its release next year.
