Good. The entire idea of cash bail goes against the premise of innocent until proven guilty. The only reasons a person should be held is if they are a danger to someone (or the public in general), they are highly likely to reoffend while out, or are a flight risk. Having cash bail means they don’t think you’re one of those (because otherwise why would they let you out at all), but feel like you should have to pay for your freedom.

It’s a scam to force poor people to plead out. It’s a minor nuisance for the rich.
