Apart from being a damn catchy tune, I find this song to be really interesting from a popular culture perspective on a few levels.

    Cornershop were among the vanguard of British Indian artists of the 1990s who added Asian influences to music genres in the UK along with legends like Talvin Singh and Nitin Sawhney. At the time, it was exciting to see this kind of cultural diffusion and experimentation enter the mainstream.
