One thing I really struggle with is managing my eating. Food has always been difficult for me. When I’m dieting, I can pretty much shed weight without issue, but when I’m not, or when I’m feeling low (which happens a lot now) I tend to just throw myself against the wall and eat what I know I love. Which brings me to this: What are your favourite diabetic-friendly snacks?

I am new to the T2 life, but I enjoy a cheese stick, celery and nuts. The problem for me is that I need a distinct portion. I can’t trust myself to limit portions and I’m not going to weigh a handful of nuts.

Greek yogurt, beef jerky, and peanut butter (bonus points for the no sugar added kind) are my favorites.

When I’m feeling more disciplined, I’ll sometimes even meal-prep several small salads sealed in tupperware. Prepping definitely makes it an easier choice for a quick snack.
