People crying that “this isn’t capitalism anymore” are deluded idiots. They lived their lives in a fantasy of how capitalism worked, because they were able to safely isolate themselves from its harms, and now that it’s been so thoroughly unshackled - by the continued destruction of any kind of social welfare or workers rights that might have had a moderating effect - that they can’t ignore the harm anymore they’re pretending to themselves that what they’re championed all their lives was something different.

To be called capitalism it needs to have certain rules. He is saying it is worse, not sure why you are suprised.
