I don’t get it. It’s addictive, disgusting, bad for your health, makes you make bad choices and then feel like garbage the next day.

I mean I still drink it because of my first point but I hate it.

It depends on what the alcohol is in what it tastes like. Beer is on the bitter side, wine is tangy or sweet, liqueur is sugar with alcohol, and the distilled drinks (whisky, gin, wodka, etc.) can taste different depending on the casks, the water and wether or not they put spices in, what’s being fermented (barley, corn, potato) and for how long.

In some drinks you barely notice the alcohol and for others it’s like you’re drinking paint thinner.

theres lots of great cocktails that are very sweet not bitter at all, and some canned stuff too but having too many of those will fuck up your stomach because of all the sugar. i dont like bitter drinks at all but goddamn i love a fruity cocktail or pina colada

Part of it is alcohol is heavily encouraged in popular media, but the trend is changing towards fewer people in gen Z drinking at all.

Personally quitting was a good decision for me, but I don’t have any malice towards people that choose to partake in any drug. Their business and their prerogative
