I can’t find any active film communities. Everyone is racing to secure a niche community but where’s the people?

I may not understand how Lemmy works but the last post I see is from 17days ago in this sub. Is my client broken or is every sub a ghost town.
Well !moviesandtv@lemmy.film has been open just about a month, and has ~400 posts and over 3k comments, so it’s definitely a hive of activity. This community is just for support and requests for the lemmy.film instance.
