I’m happy to act as a moderator, but I don’t need to. The new season is about to start.
Is this the right instance for TV show communities? What is the process for getting the communities started?
There are so many TV shows, and I like having a different community for each one. But there are so few people still.
Done! 🧞 You’ll find it at !lupin2021@lemmy.film. Post something there and I’ll make you a moderator.
Suggestions for new Lemmy communities and their moderators:
- The almost-always ignored Docs link at the bottom of every Lemmy page
- Creating a new community is easy, an excellent primer at lemmy.world
- The new community is going to need an icon, a banner and a sidebar with a description of the community. If you need help with this stuff, buzz me!
- Post over at !newcommunities@lemmy.world and !communitypromo@lemmy.ca to let the federated world know about the new community!
Thanks! Post has been made :)
@reef@lemmy.ca (the account I’m responding to) has been made Moderator. Did you want @reef@lemmy.film to be a Moderator also?
If it helps, I have this account here: https://lemmy.film/u/reef
Sure! Any preferences as to the name of the community? I ask this seemingly silly question because c/lupin is (IMHO) vague: is this community about all instances of Lupin or just the anime or just the Netflix series with Omar Sy or blah blah blah. Get my drift?
That’s fair!
What would you suggest is better? My initial thought would be to have it specific to the Netflix series with Omar Sy, since I’m not that familiar with the other instances of Lupin. In the rules, we can say that other Lupin related content is ok, and just leave it up to someone else to make a general Lupin community if they want to.
So maybe
LupinNetflix
orNetflixLupin
, or a variation ofLupin2021
since I think other sites categorize versions by date. Depends on if you already have a structure for TV shows and want to keep it consistent. Up to you! :)
