Lean came into existence because it’s a cheapish and most importantly easier obtainable method of getting high. That’s also why you get checked at the counter when you buy syrup in some states nowadays.

Honestly also Minecraft but that was mostly because I was playing during a bad time and the ost kicked in

Baguette@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Technology@lemmy.world•I bought a £16 smartwatch just because it used USB-CEnglish1·11 days agoYea they’re pretty much the only brand still.
I liked my garmin vivomove, it was pretty nice despite some clunkiness (the one I bought was early on)
I’d like to try one, but I feel like I might end up not using it often or just not liking it
._. I never said I supported the stock market, just that the stock market collapse will affect a lot of people.
If I had it my way, companies should never be public. Lots of current day issues are because public companies act upon shareholder whims and thus cause the worst of modern day societies
I’d love to have pensions also be reintroduced in companies, but they’ve essentially been all phased out by lobbying for 401ks and IRAs instead.
It depends on the person’s age group, if they just hit retirement and the stock market collapses, then they’d feel the pain the most. It could mean delaying their retirement by years.
Younger people on the other hand usually bounce back, unless of course there are other circumstances like war.
If the AI bubble pops, people’s retirement will also probably disappear tbh. Lotta money right now in IRAs and 401ks

Don’t get me wrong I think the evolution of minecraft is cool and one of my favorite mod packs was sevtech, which was around 2017, but beta 1.5 hits different when kid me was just spamming random mats into the crafting table to see if it built anything
Baguette@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Which games made you go into an "addiction phase"?1·15 days agoI only played payday 2 casually because all I would play is hoxton breakout LOL
I was invested enough though to make my own skin mod (pre lootbox) and it was kinda popular

A/C is a negligible amount of the problem and in these type of weather is a necessity, lest vulnerable people like seniors die from heat stroke. You could 10x AC usage and it still wouldn’t even match what corpos emit. We have way bigger issues than more AC use.

I technically still do have access, but it’s a lot less useful nowadays
Google just went back on that education unlimited thing because they realized it was not sustainable, so my school had to enforce it somehow
Anyone know why my keyboard keeps switching back to gboard? I have it disabled, but only gboard is supported on my razr 2nd display, so I’m guessing it keeps reverting because of that
