Yeah when I was scanning articles of it as it happened, seems like they announced the award was created a few days ago.
I expected some pageantry and glazing of Trump but tbh, didn’t expect this. Taken like 55 minutes and we’re finally at the real draw.
I’m watching the draw live and wish they’d get on with the actual draw part.
When I saw them announce it I laughed my ass off since I knew immediately Trump was getting it. God I hate FIFA.
I’ll have to put it back in the rotation next summer and give it another go. Might be nice to pitch immediately and not worry about it. In the summer my wort chiller + normal tap water doesn’t quite get me to pitch temps immediately.
Makes sense, was mostly curious since for me the only real window for me to even think about using it is in the summer to hit that high ferment temp.
Right now I’m not brewing as much anymore as I’ve cut back a lot on how much I drink and I try to give it away when I can. Half the fun is sharing it with folks for me. So I struggle to find recipes I want to include it in. I’ve been trying to fine tune my recipes right now more than anything.
Since its fall I usually just pick up the pressed cider from the orchards. Obviously not available year round, but that makes a good hard cider for me with minimal effort. I’m not huge into cider, so I keep it simple.
How do you like Kveik? I did a couple beers with it and thought it was fine, but never really ferment at the hot temps folks were saying it’s really neat at. Mostly back to a dry yeast of whatever is appropriate for the style now.
Depending on how wild this gets, would going to Canada or Mexico to get a jab be an option? Only stuff about it I’m pulling up is from the start of the pandemic.
For CONCACAF Panama has been really solid recently as well. Canada seems to look great a lot outside of tournament settings.

Well that’s extra upsetting. I assumed there’s no way the Israeli league would be playing.
Thinking about it, is the Israeli league even actively playing matches at the moment? I’m a little surprised they have teams this far into European competitions, especially Europa league.
Either way I agree, it’s ridiculously hypocritical for FIFA and UEFA to ban Russia and turn a blind eye to Ukrainian and Israeli teams.

Yeah as you mentioned earlier I’m afraid this is going to move rapidly up the escalation ladder.
It’s why I was curious what Iran could potentially do to mitigate its AA installations being destroyed. Even if it’s not as good as the Russian or Chinese AA setup, some deterrence is better than nothing when the western doctrine is all about air superiority.
Interesting, thanks for the write up. Does sound like Iran will be stuck in a bind then. Damned if you do damned if you don’t. Hopefully Iran has a better plan this time for this scenario would not be good if their AA gets taken out.
The fact that 40 of these missiles have been deployed is very concerning and could indicate Israeli intentions to carry out a wider scale Suppression/Destruction of Enemy Air Defences (SEAD/DEAD) operation. This is a capability that Israel has already demonstrated against Iran, that Iran failed to stop last time round.
Appreciate the lengthy write up. I do wonder what the solution to massed SEAD would look like for Iran. Do they just turn their radar off and try and time it so the SEAD missile looses its lock? I really have no idea what other countermeasures there would be.

Yeah we’ll have to see, FIFA seems especially keen on doing anything for more cash. I could definitely see other sports governing bodies taking notes on how this goes.
