Shop at casual pace. Be nice to the store employees but don’t try to keep track of where they are (because it’s obvious when you do). Do not be greedy.
Store employees see people stealing or at least people who look like they’re stealing everyday but will generally only confront those who are either stealing high quantity/value of stuff, steal at that store frequently or are annoying to the employees in some way (are rude, noisy, cause hold ups or make work by leaving stuff around or making demands).
If you ever get confronted then it was an oversight and you ask to pay for whatever it was (because you want the item, not because you were caught). You do not try to defend yourself as not stealing, why would you? the very idea of stealing has never occurred to you in your entire life.
you are just jealous I can afford 5pro ps5pros
have you tried dropping some lofi beats to chill/study to?
I’d bet they already knew this was possible and hoped to exploit it against China for awhile before anyone else figured it out.
You want small dev teams to maximize profit per worker.
I want small dev teams because small indie games are consistently better than AAA slop.
We are not same.
that’s the best meal, I always skip first breakfast to save my appetite for second breakfast
Still adventurism. Need a good guy with a gun, a coherent ideology, comrades who are prepared to capitalize on the moment and a specific plan for how the shooting will advance the cause factoring into account an accurate assessment of the proletariat’s present sympathies and tolerance for violence. A unicorn in other words.
Meanwhile is only arguably good and had no coherent ideology or program and got the goods anyway

So am I, I’m just not surprised that it hasn’t happened yet.
They are profitable with the incredible market power of Disney behind them. Would you as an independent film maker bet the farm on an adaption of 70 year old disney film? There is a possibility but you’d have to have a premise with a damn good angle on it to have a chance and I don’t begrudge the industry for not taking that swing yet.
I dislike this line of criticism because it is so easily used by proponents of copyright.
“See when things go in the public domain no-one uses them to create any new culturally valuable works anyways it just gets abused to make bottom of the barrel slop.”
The real problem ofc is that the extreme duration of copyright means that nothing can built upon while it still has any cultural relevance. Old Disney films get made into horror schlock because a distortion of something considered an institution of family friendliness works for that genre. No-one can make an adaption that plays it straight without the result feeling incredibly outdated, not even Disney’s own remakes have managed to avoid this.
did nutomic apologize for their transphobic comments yet?
What I loved about it at the time I watched it was that with each episode he became a bit more disheveled in his mannerisms, appearance and production values. It was watching the news man be gradually jokerfied from the news he read which aligned with my own changing perception from following the news. The problem is he only played a character who grew more cynical but the show itself remained trapped in the liberal world view.
people are making up slang terms for their genitals… this is new and shocking to me also I am a real person.
The most bazinga brained person I know was mad about people discussing the ethics of cgi necromancy not because of a principled stance but that it ruined the movie by giving away the big reveal of Peter Cushing being in it.
when I was in school teachers wouldn’t let you use a pen until you got a pen license by doing a handwriting test in pencil
Personally I think it is usually easier to buy the expensive locked item if it is a store that has a separate checkout inside since it makes the employees who interacted with you trust you and you can carry it around the rest of the store as “I’m a real customer who already spent a lot of money” flag while you nab the easier items.
Buy something cheap on the way out making a show of “I already paid for these ones earlier” with the locked items using the opportunity to pass through the unpaid items. If you somehow get caught you then use the excuse that you got confused about which items you already bought at the first checkout and again insist on fixing your mistake by paying for the ones you missed.
