4·3 months agoNot a huge fan of beans overall, but I’ve tried the UK beans and I found them more “savory” than US canned beans… like their sauce is more tomato sauce or something, and not like a BBQ sauce or a brown sugar sauce.
Like, they’re fine, but I think a lot of people expect them to be sweeter and then they’re just, not… Disappointment ensues.

Not OP but I think they just meant it’s pretty overloaded - it’s one of the most well-known instances. “Too many” users can cause problems for the people hosting the instance, so I think there’s been a movement to spread it around so all the eggs aren’t in the same basket.

7·9 months agoI’m not excusing him, but he’d say anything to anyone, in order to further consolidate his support. The day after this, he’d gladly stand in front of scientists and tell them what he thought THEY wanted to hear, too. Spineless, punk-ass lying bastard…
Sounds to me like the failure wasn’t yours, but the interviewer’s; you came prepared for questions relevant to the role, and they went all out-of-pocket on you.
Like if you show up for a tech job and they start going “paint me a word picture… tell me about your personal philosophy…”
Like you said, if they just googled some BS to ask you, or followed the corp-approved “starting questions”, that’s their fault.
Maybe you could reach out to them (or HR?)and go “hey, I was surprised by some of the interview questions, but I really do think I’m a strong match - can we get together and come to an understanding on the relevance of those questions?”
Like they would ever see a lick of that money anyway… dude has a decades-long track record of never paying anyone, ever, for anything.
