Personally I host all this kind of stuff using containers, only mounting the folders that need backing up. Then I just back up all my podman volumes. It’s pretty nice not depending on any tools that have to be maintained or anything like that.
Yeah, having all the audio traces very close to data lines and stuff like that on the motherboard can induce interference. On my old PC there was a very clear noise floor in the built-in 3.5mm outputs. Would 100% recommend an external DAC, I’d personally go with USB rather than PCIe.

That was exactly my point of reference as well lol. Both my Pixel 6 and 8 Pro My Pixel 6 My Pixel 4 would slide off a freaking wooden tabletop that was slightly crooked.
The Pixel 6 and 8 aren’t as bad because of the massive camera bump. I have had the 8 pro slide off tables as well, but that was also because i positioned it kinda weird. A plastic phone wouldn’t have slipped off though.

You’re not quickly getting your car out of the way of someone else if you’re fully stopped. Most of them don’t accelerate nearly fast enough for that. Besides, pretty sure I would just stall the car if I tried evading someone quickly while probably slightly panicked.
You don’t do an evasive manoeuvre for emergency vehicles. You should hear and see them coming from quite a distance. You just scoot over in a regular way.

Yeah, I don’t really use it for that. I like the “captchas” it has (little excersises you have to do to shut off your alarm), and it automatically moves your alarm back by Max 30 minutes to better align with rem cycles. Also the bedtime reminders are really useful to me.

Edit: never mind, I would not recommend this app anymore. I once got a lifetime unlock for less than 6 euros, it’s 100 now.
I use sleep as android for this. Besides sleep tracking, you can tell it how many hours per night you want to sleep, and it can give you bedtime notifications based on that.
No, Microsoft, the company, deserves no ones business. I don’t have any particular opinion on most people that work there.
Because the alternatives are just bad for everyone. It’s not just that I don’t like the software, Microsoft is an awful company all around that deserves no one’s business. Apple isn’t that much better either.
The reason is very simple, performance. If a value doesn’t need to be changed, don’t declare it as mutable. This isn’t just a front-end thing btw.
I use nextcloud as a general drive, where I also upload photos automatically. Then I just mount the images folder in my immich container.
