Man, people on here don’t watch The Office i guess

Not the person you replied to, but I was the same way until I realized all my favorite artists were either dying or retiring and chances to ever see them were slipping away, and quickly. I just go to whatever shows I can and just be present in the moment. Even small local shows. I’ve found a bunch of cool artists by going to shows with artists I don’t even know.

Like, imagine having the opportunity to see a Zeppelin show in their prime, then imagine thinking about going, then saying “meh.” I couldn’t even comprehend the regret I would feel passing something like that up. And it circles back to not knowing you’re in the “good old days” until they’re already past. I just don’t want to look back at missed opportunities and kick myself for the rest of my life.

Like they said, it’s not for everyone, especially not these days. Ticketmaster is a plague, most shows are ridiculously overpriced with food and drink to match, and way too many people are focused on taking a video they’ll never watch. But if things only get worse, I’m going to go down swinging and keep going to shows until doing so would financially break me.

Fun game. I don’t usually go in for card games, so I ignored the hype, but this is a good one. Got to ante 4 a few times over the last couple of hours before rng killed me. I’m sure I’ll get my money’s worth out of this one

I have a similar line of thinking. I’m a musician, so if I was filthy rich I might want to donate money to a school’s music department. If the school is one fiscal entity, I would have to put that as a stipulation to ensure they gave the money to that department, not divert it to something overfunded or just padding the board’s pocket as bonuses for “a job well done”

Just realizing I’m dreaming wakes me up every damn time. The only times I’ve gotten to have some fun is when I don’t question why the laws of physics suddenly changed and just go with it. The second I start going, “Wait a second, I think I’m drea-” boom, I wake up. It’s infuriating, I just want to fly around or explore the ocean depths or some shit.

This is outrageous. Where are the bags of garbage that come in to take the socks away? Where are they? This kind of condition is never tolerated in my dresser. You have a hole like that I put you in the trash. Right away. No second chance, no nothing. Socks with holes in the heel, I have a special trash can for holes in the heel. You are ripping: right to the trash. You are having moth holes: right to the trash can, right away. Sock legs too loose: trash. Tight: trash. They get that way where the threads inside tangle up with the toes: you right to the trash. Sock has no padding? Believe it or not, trash. Sock has too much padding, also trash. Not padded, over-padded. Sock was part of a unique set and the other is gone, believe it or not, trash, right away. I have the best sock drawer in the world because of trash.

Arkane and Remedy are the two that stand out at the moment.

Redfall was a pretty bad indicator coming from Arkane. But if they get their act together and go back to games like Dishonored, they’ll be back on the good list. Keeping them up here out of hope. They make fantastic games when they’re allowed to.

Remedy just always puts out bangers. Control is how I found them, and I love their style as well as the obvious amount of love and work put into their universe. Still need to play AW2, but I’ve only heard good things about it. They’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but they are mine.

Am I weird for thinking the finger helps the composition? Very cute. My dogs have never been graced with snow. It makes me wonder if pets can enjoy recreational travel as humans do or if it would just stress them out.

My most recent addition is a first pressing of Hemispheres by Rush for a very reasonable price. Rush is my absolute favorite, and I didn’t have any vinyl of theirs yet. Just wandered into a shop on a whim and this little guy was just sitting on the shelf behind the counter. I grabbed it just because I like the album, looked it up on discogs and it was pressed in 1978. Feels like holding a piece of history.
