U.S. will give billions of dollars to support genocide, but won’t feed it’s own children. We’ve surpassed biblical levels of evil.

I’d build the world’s first international spaceport. If it was USA, I’d build it up the side of the Hawaii volcano. The goal is to get it as high as possible, as close to equator as possible, to take advantage of earth’s angular velocity. If possible, building in the Andes would be even better.
Startram gen 2 or bust. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StarTram
Humanity has to cut the cost of space launches by 99% or more if we are ever going to advance to the next phase of history: Mining the asteroid belt for necessary minerals. All progress comes from raw materials in some capacity and the asteroid belt is a near unlimited source.
It’s real. It’s how dehumidifiers work. It’s not energy efficient, and more suitable for short term emergencies where you can’t set-up an RO to pull water from a local lake.
Kinesis split keyboards are the way to go.
Psht. Clearly that’s Misilucky
I like greek salads. My gf and I do home greek night and always start it off with a greek salad. I like mine with crushed black olives.
Yes, that’s a great point. 100% pro thorium. China is leading commercialization of thorium reactors. https://interestingengineering.com/innovation/thorium-molten-salt-nuclear-reactor-china
I’m all for use of nuclear energy, and mining uranium from seawater, however, there are externalities that need to be addressed, at least in the USA, there are serious issues with on-site storage in pools, with no plans on what to do with the waste. This is a serious issue that needs considered.
Here it is, straight from 1980, https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1980/03/15/carter-unveils-plan-to-fight-inflation/e4ec33d5-0060-4aa7-b7eb-b29770cd0434/
Read the whole thing, it talks about the predicted recession that these “reforms” were intended to bring about.
It’s not true. Trump was President for 4 years, that didn’t happen. It’s histrionics.
There has been no difference since Carter. Carter was the one who started modern neoliberalism with the idea that inducing a recession would be a good thing to stop run-away inflation, so he worked with the fed to start one.
It went Carter, Reagan, CIA, Clinton. (or, in other words, CIA, CIA, CIA, CIA).
By then, we were cooked, truly no difference in neoliberalism from either party, the cruelty towards the average person domestic and abroad is some sort of special evil.
Edit, in 1963, the CIA was successful in a coupe of the USA, and has been in charge ever since.
Don’t ever call police. 9/10 times they will turn on you, even if you’re the victim. Police have one function, to investigate crimes, charge you with crimes, and arrest you for crimes. It doesn’t matter if you did it or not. They will abuse you, detain you, and arrest you. They have no obligation to help you in any way.
NEVER call the police!
Watch “the civil rights lawyer” and “audit the audit” on youtube, if you need to learn more, they go into case law, it’s worth watching and knowing your rights and knowing the best way to deal with them: Record, record, record, invoke your constitutional right to silence and against search and seizure, and shut the heck up, once you invoke your right, do not talk no matter what, except to request a lawyer.
If police call you, don’t answer. If police show up at your door, don’t answer. If police are engaged in traffic stops, find another route. Don’t even look at them, I’ve literally been detained and investigated for looking at police.
Also, if you drive, get a dashcam.
Me personally, when I was still naive, I had video of a couple kids come by my house, and push down a newly planted tree (I bought and planted it), they pushed it down at the base, and snapped it off. I called the police to give them the video and they started accusing me of doing something to the kids to make them retaliate. I picked up on this very quickly and carefully ended the conversation. By the way, they had no interest in taking the video from me, and told me outright they weren’t going to pursue the case, but they sure were a bunch of assholes to me for evidently calling them to do the job they agreed to do.
Old enough to see everything generally getting shittier. Maybe it’s an age thing, but post 9-11 everything just keeps getting shittier. I realize now it’s by design, to enrich the few.
These Dept of State ghouls always parrot the same line that somehow China is cheating and it’s unfair. Quote: “all while addressing the PRC’s non-market practices”
It’s fucking hilarious they can’t seem to grasp that there are no rules here and that somehow China kicking their ass is just so unfair and cheating. Like what you gonna do, take your ball and go home?
Depending on how you’re counting, China is 10x older than the US. It takes a special kind of naivety to think that the nephew can get one over on the uncle.
I played 25th anniversary. I loved it. Haha, I’m old.
I love lower decks. It’s the only one I like, even a little bit. But you have to really really love 90s trek to get all the inside jokes. Like watching TNG-Enterprise multiple times. Season 2+ got a lot better too.
If I want to watch trek, these days, I almost always throw on Voyager or Enterprise, they are my favorites.
I quit drinking almost 6 years ago now, when I was 35. I don’t miss it and glad I was able to quit before I couldn’t.
Conspiracy to advance US interests: It was a cyber attack by state actors that led to the ship malfunction.
Conspiracy to blame Captain of the Port as a scapegoat so US won’t admit fault: Captain of the Port didn’t mandate use of harbor tugs for moving past the bridge (it should be a regulation, that its not is ridiculous).
Conspiracy theory to advance private economic interests: Like 9-11, it’s better to take out skyscrapers and critical infrastructure using accidents so the public bears the costs rather than the owners.
