The NH libertarian party was taken over by a group of straight up facists. Libertarians suck for a lot of reasons, but this group is much worse. They had a “slavery was good for black people” post a while back.
Fuck, I don’t know anymore

Isn’t this from the Trump campaign’s vetting document?
My brother is conservative in a very ignorant way. He knows basically nothing about politics, has never voted, but likes Trump for reasons he cannot really express.
When I talk to him about politics, he agrees with basically everything I say. He agrees with taxing rich and corporations and redistributing it, universal health care, prison abolition, etc. His opposition to left leaning politics is basically entirely about it not being his team. He’s a country boy who likes pickup trucks and he thinks cities are weird and scary and therefore he’s conservative.
I think there’s a lot of conservatives like that.
Oooh a new one. This series is absolutely amazing.
Who said they want to control everything you do? We’re talking about sports gambling
I think we have a fundamental disagreement with the way society should be. I want to protect people from predatory companies and won’t elevate the individual rights of people to gamble over the welfare of all.
They would have to have a lot of switches and network wires connecting them and systems to monitor them. Even then, I doubt this draw would be enough to signal to them that it’s a problem. Probably not drawing more than a stove on the cleaning cycle, far below a level that would say, “This area is drawing too much power”.
“Everyone person should have the right to make a bad deal for themselves” is the logic of the Lochner court decisions. They said the government shouldn’t stop anyone who chooses to work in a hazardous workplace, or sign a contract that says you won’t join a union or choose to put their 12 year old children to work in mines.
Our laws have to protect people, otherwise we’re just doing libertarianism.
Yeah, it was just Kia cheaping out by not having an immobilizer. They saved at the very most $100 a car(probably more like $40) by skipping a basic security feature invented in 1985.
Sriracha on cereal
I thought everyone did it.
Even fairly small pools have thousands of gallons of water, a full bladder holds about 2 cups. You’d have to have 80 people empty full bladders in a 3900 gallon pool(a 12’ round above ground pool) just to get to .25% piss.
I think there’s a way to be this kind of micro landlord in an ethical way, but it’s really tricky. Rent tied to expenses with a small amount of pay to you for the actual time spent managing it, and money into an repair/emergency fund. You should also consider the equity gained if it’s financed. I’ve known landlords that say, “I’m barely making any money”, ignoring the fact that they’ll own the property outright at the end of the mortgage.
The fact that it makes you more comfortable to hide the fact that you are the landlord makes me think the arrangement you’re considering isn’t fair. We’re living under capitalism, so do what you gotta do, but if you’re going to exploit someone have the decency to not act like you’re in it together with them.
In this house we believe snitches get stitches and talkers get walkers(universal health care)
I’ll second buying a used flagship phone over a new budget phone, especially in the $300 range.
Those budget phones made more sense when the technology was getting so much better each generation that having a low quality version of the new phone was better than the top quality of a few generations old phone.
You can get an unlocked s21 ultra 5g for less than 300 on swappa right now.
It’s the phone Ive been using since it came out. Great cameras, 10x optical zoom, wide angle, fast image capture. Solid battery life, 65 watt fast charging, wireless charging, big screen with 120hz and small bezels. Still gets major and security updates, although it will only get security updates starting next year supposedly.
Downsides are it’s a little heavy and unevenly distributed, big camera bump(a good case can hide it though).
They’re libertarian socialist.
I’ve seen some criticism of Rojava, specifically because they have private property rights, some Kurdish nationalist tendencies, and their status as sort of a US proxy. I don’t know enough about the situation to say how true that all is, though.

That temporary child tax credit was a huge help for child poverty, though. It’s basically just a non means tested cash assistance program for families with children.
I have a conservative family member who teaches is a poor district who became strongly in favor of continuing that credit after seeing the affect on kids in her class.
I think the plan is to make them smaller and release more often. Infinite Wealth was significantly shorter than the first Like a Dragon. I prefer that game wise, but they’re already expensive af. Making them half the size means they’re basically doubling the price.
I think they’re just mad trans people exist, and pronoun selection reminds them of that.
It fits with their bullshit about wanting non-political games. Their politics are fueled by hatred, and it infects their escapist treats to be reminded of the mere existence of minorities and trans people.
