I think the problem is how frequently footage is made public. I’m not a legal professional so Idk how it would work specifically, but something like bodycam footage is only released as part of discovery in relevant cases, and the people it gets released to are prohibited from public release.

My reasoning is that body cam footage is perfect for making little cut up snippets of propaganda that pack proper context. Police can see and hear a lot of things the camera doesn’t, and “news” agencies are well known for editing footage and intentionally further removing context to push a narrative.

Overall, we need to do a lot of work to get the court of public opinion out of courts of law.

A crossbow. I have exactly zero practical experience with any melee weapons, especially polearms, and I don’t have any skill on a longbow, leaving the crossbow as not only the simplest weapon available, but also one I would be somewhat familiar with using due to experience on modern firearms. I would also stay away from the early firearms appearing at the time since a crossbow is more accurate and reliable, as well as more foolproof.

Regarding armor, I’d likely go with heavy cloth armor and chain mail since plate armor would be more restrictive than helpful considering I would stay away from the front.
