Intelligent retort. But my info comes from numerous hiring managers and multiple different companies- some that I’ve worked for, others that I’m just friends with folks who happen to do that. I’m not saying all companies do it by any means, but it does happen a fair amount. Seriously though, what does my physical contact with plant life have anything to do with my knowledge on this topic?
You’re a moron. Companies do this, for this reason, all the time. Get a brain.
I would think that they are, but only because if you clash with their corporate culture, regardless of your leanings, you could be seen as disagreeing with everyone around you on other things. Plus, if you’re vehemently outspoken on socials about that, you’re also potentially that way in person as well, and that doesn’t sit right with those who’d rather leave that stuff unmentioned in the workplace.
Optimism isn’t always accurate unfortunately. I even try using their language if I know a bit of it and get denied the interaction. So they are essentially refusing to interact with folks not of their own race. So essentially, even though I’m bending over backwards in the ways I can, they’re being the racist individuals in this situation. If you downvote, you’re a moron who needs their head removed, because how else is that supposed to be interpreted?
English is the national language, I only know this because it was going to be German, but the decided against that. And yes, those are the only words they seem to know in that situation, “no English” so idk how else that is to be interpreted.
All this talk of xenophobia and racism, which I get are indeed often reasons why people do this, but there’s a certain show of lack of respect for the new home country if there’s not even an effort made. If someone is visiting a country, I get there’s an exception, but if someone moves to a country, it shouldn’t be uncalled for to expect at least a minor effort to learn just enough of the new language to transact/survive. That’s something I see a lot as an American, and it frustrates me- Folks who move here and have been here for years, but can’t learn enough to at least sort of transact. I have so much respect (often more for them than natives) for those who learn even a couple words so I can do my job to help them, but then there are folks who I’ve seen for years that still refuse to learn a single word of English, so we play the mime game trying to figure out what they want. If I move to another country, you bet your ass I’m not going to expect them to speak English, and I’ll do what I can to at least learn some words or phrases so I can interact with the populace around me. I feel like that is one of the most significant forms of respect for a new home country that one can show. Not everyone is as nuanced in their outlook and opinions, and a lot of those folks are indeed racist xenophobic.
I feel like that quote was talking about me and that makes me uncomfortable… lol.
I very much would be out there with a shotgun in that six week period. Not even with bird shot, just bean bags, that way there’s not any danger to humans, but those birds can get fucked.
I was watching Sons of Anarchy, and had gotten pretty far. I had heard that it was based on Hamlet, and could see a bit of the similarities with it. I wanted to know who some of the other characters were supposed to be in relation to the play… and I discovered thanks to the first article at the top of the search that HUGE SPOILER COMING IN AND IDK HOW TO TAG IT OTHER THAN THESE BIG OLD CAPS the main character Jax becomes a widower thanks to his loving mother, and a very large fork. Absolutely brutal to watch, but less impactful than if I went in cold.
I’m not savvy enough to do all that. Let’s put it this way, I legitimately floated the idea of YouTube premium before trying to figure the complication that is configuring a different software setup for my entire network just to avoid the ads.
Yes, Mint is great… on the hole. In regards to the ads though, I, and Ryan Reynolds, and YouTube wholeheartedly disagree. I see almost as many of their ads as I do ones for St Jude’s. It’s like, I get it, kids get cancer, it’s sad as fuck, stop reminding me that it could happen to mine!
Because it’s proven to be true time and time again.
No, I’m saying that the right’s reason for lax gun laws doesn’t seem to mean shit, because even with the laws as lax as they are there, there still wasn’t anyone there to handle the situation. So maybe the laws being more strict would’ve kept the damn gun out of this nut’s hands.
Fucking brutal. The guy looked to be fine overall too. What injuries would we not be seeing in this?
That’s basically how I’m reading this. And I follow that rule quite well.
This is actually very true… when referring to republican ‘activists’. Basically if any republican comes out with something trying to save children, they should be immediately investigated for harming kids in some way. If you are a republican who wants to save kids, I automatically assume you are a pedophile.
So they’ve got the weakest gun laws, which often leads to more civilians with guns… but there wasn’t a “good guy with a gun” present in this situation capable of taking this guy down?
I’ve seen that movie hundreds of times (one of my favorites) but that was almost 30 years ago now. If they’d made a sequel at that point in time with him as Gomez I can see it working, but in the current time I don’t know if he still has that same spark.
So what I take from this is… don’t buy a new car. Well, since I’ve never owned a car newer than 10 years old, I guess I’m ahead of the game for once. #winning
