  • Lower frequencies (like the HF range) can propagate further due to reflection/refraction with the earth and the ionosphere. Increasing the frequency can lead to e-skip and troposhpeheric ducting. But even the HF range has shorter wavelengths than our brains, which operate in much lower frequencies (Hz vs MHz). So you would think that our brainwaves would pass through tin-foil much more easily

But it’s the tin-foil’s electro-conduction that “foils” the electromagnetic waves’ (i.e radio waves’) ability to pass through it. But you would have to have no gaps in the tin-foil to completely block all waves from passing through. So like, an entire foil suit or a walking Faraday cage.

TL;DR - it’s not about the length of the electromagnetic wave, it’s the electro-conduction (insulating) property of the tin-foil that matters

  • No one cares about you 🙄 for the love of life. Get off it already… you even forced an emoji outta me, just to really get my point across /s

Sorry sorry, trying to be sarcastic-mean, not actually mean. Just wanted to rib poke for a second, but not at the expense of a person I don’t know. I truly like seeing your activity around here; couldn’t help myself though. Ya dick

I’m not great at sarcasm lol. I only wish the best for you, ya random squid 🐙

  • Even bad press is still press? I don’t have an opinion on Stonehenge yet; I’m pretty sure the art they “defaced” was only the protective casing; and I haven’t researched them enough to form a true opinion of my own

But now I’m curious as to whether (or not) “I think” their motives are “ignorant” or somehow “nefarious” at times. I’ve seen them in the news for a while now, and I haven’t always agreed with their course of action… sometimes I believe it to be too impulsive. But they’re still doing it. They’ve forced a discussion that keeps the issue in the forefront, and now it has me wanting to look-into their situation more. And I do believe-in what they’re advocating, even if I’m not sure it’s the “correct” way to do it

Yet here we are, talking about it. “There’s no such thing as ‘Bad Press’”, I guess? Are they right?.. maybe. Are they detracting from the plight?.. also, maybe. Am I sure of my opinion of their protests?.. no, not really. Seems like something I’ll have to read more about.

So maybe, mission accomplished (in-progress)? Idk, but I see the merit regardless of their actions

  • I drove a Honda Pilot with lane assist, and I hated how it jottled the steering wheel. It felt dangerous to me how much it resisted, even if it’s not really that much.

I currently drive a Honda Fit with lane assist, and I love it. Literally use the lane assist every time. It beeps and has a warning on the dash about leaving the lane, and maybe it even has the same amount of resistance, but it feels a lot safer/natural

I think I just don’t like the steering wheel “rumbling/jottling” or whatever, because it’s like a false tactile feedback. I’m sure I could adjust to it, but it’s not the best implementation imo

Also, the auto-brake thing (is amazing and should be standard) doesn’t come on until you are wildly close (and the distance that it engages, seems to be speed dependent). So you’ll really only see it engage if you’re about to be in a wreck, or you’re really ballsy trying to “test it”

  • I feel like you skipped a few steps in your conclusion, cause having retyped this comment several times now, it does seem logical (though logically evil and morally corrupt; which nobody’s surprised). And I’m not entirely convinced it’s just Netanyahu trying to create a “forever war”

I was gonna say that it seems more like “blatant genocide” than a “forever war”… and how can a war be “forever” if one side is obliterated?

But then I thought, “Maybe genocide is just a bonus for Isreal”, while also being a ‘unique’ way to stir-up the concept of “War on terrorism, in the US”. Their “War on drugs” has lost some traction (and also serves a different purpose), but maybe they can put a convoluted spin on the “War on Terrorism”.

The US is allowing “allies” to commit genocide for the greater good of their own military complex/gain?.. because their current “forever wars” have been experiencing downturns? Maybe it is a “forever war” with genocide as a bonus for Isreal?

I can’t dispute your statement well, because it doesn’t seem too “off key”. It just feels like you’ve made some logical leaps… or I’m just falling into conspiracy-driven-logic. Idk, but I appreciate giving me something to ponder more closely

  • I’ll admit it, though I’m not proud of it. I used to throw trash out the car window all of the time when I was in highschool (idk if I thought it was funny, or I was being cool, or just truly didn’t consider it). It hurts to think about my dumbass doing that in the past, but it happened

Now I don’t even throw my cigarette butts on the ground. I twist them out and put them in my pocket until I can find a proper trash can. I pick up other litter when I can and even raked an entire campsite of beer cans/trash thrown around (I was just hiking and stumbled upon it, but I couldn’t leave it without doing something). So hopefully I’ve earned a little good-litter-karma back for all the fuckery I caused as a dumb teen

    Regarding the snoring:

I snore like a freight train… a real “rattle the walls” type thing. It doesn’t bother me cause I don’t notice lol. Unfortunately, my wife is apperently “unable” to ignore it (I mean that sarcastically about her; my snoring can be/often is impressively loud)

I tried taping my mouth for snoring, but ended up choking on my own saliva. Works for some, not for me

But I went and got a sleep study done (that you can do at home, with equipment they loan you) because I didn’t want to do that to my wife (and I guess there’s health benefits too). Surprisingly, I was diagnosed as having only “mild” sleep apnea. As loud as my snoring (allegedly) can be; I thought it would be worse. So I was prescribed a CPAP and got my machine… mainly because I didn’t want to force my wife into another room 3x a week, due to my obnoxious snoring

And holy shit… I hadn’t slept so well, in so long, that it made me feel a little sad/stupid that I hadn’t gotten a CPAP sooner. You have to find a set-up that works for your sleeping habits… but my god! I hate going without it now. Sometimes I forget to put it on, and sometimes I rip it off at night… but I can always feel how unrested I am now when I don’t wear it

TL;DR - CPAP’s are awesome and worth any mild inconvenience they may cause. And they also stop the snoring, regardless of cause. It’s an inflammation/soft palate thing; sometimes you need a little extra pressure. The sleep you get is priceless though

And not grab me an extra muffin or something to eat for breakfast…

Grab an extra plate for a bro if you gonna be awake that early anyway! You know you’re gonna need my ass to get everyone’s collective shit together at 1am, so we can all get back safely; why the disrespect for us “late wake’s”?
