Just a heads up though, I’m taking this post down since I realized someone else beat me to it :p

Look at what Chile achieved without firearms in 2019:

There’s slowly more evidence coming out to suggest the elections may have been rigged in some states.
So maybe we did vote for kamala. Either way, we need to dig ourselves out of this hole.

Though someone in the comments of that video mentioned that the dual cuff zip tie (which I didn’t know about until now) are much harder to use that method on, and now I’m guessing the other methods I posted may not be as effective against those either. I’m unsure of how common the dual type have been at protests.

tl;dr they began to introduce proprietary code and were caught using project funds on personal expenses and vacations.

I think the Mecha thing is much cheaper (and a better form factor), though I’m not sure if it can use cellular networks.
Anecdotally, I have found a similar experience modding slrpnk. It’s been (IMO) extremely low in drama, and due to the theme, the community is filled to the brim with incrediblely pleasant people who make it a joy to participate in, and often step up to moderate abandoned communities and reduce the load on us admins.
Though it probably helps that we’re still a smallish/medium sized instance, require written applications, and defederate from a small handful of instances to decrease potential conflict.

ProdigalFrog@slrpnk.netOPto Privacy@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Google has made it much harder for GrapheneOS & CalyxOS to update to Android 16 English8·3 days agoIf you mean when they say:
Having our own devices meeting our hardware requirements (https://grapheneos.org/faq#future-devices) would reduce the time pressure to migrate to new releases and could be used to obtain early access ourselves. Based on talks with OEMs, paying for what we need will cost millions of dollars.
I don’t think they’re saying that they will, they’re pointing out how expensive it would be to do so(I.E, unlikely as they do not have the funds to do it).Further down they clarify when someone asks what they mean by a GrapheneOS device:
Working with an OEM partner to make devices built to run GrapheneOS. We have a list of hardware requirements at https://grapheneos.org/faq#future-devices which are provided by the currently supported devices (Pixels). It would be very hard to make new devices meeting our requirements. We would need the community to raise a substantial amount of money in advance by preordering devices. We would need to incorporate substantial costs for development and long term support into the device cost.
Edit:
I was wrong! Graphene has clarified that they will, in fact, pursue creating their own hardware. Check main OP for details.

True. I’ll change the title of the post instead of using the video title. The video clearly shows how peaceful it is, and compares that to the White House propaganda.
