This is the account where I post about media to avoid connecting my main account to my video, gaming, and music preferences.

If you want minor (vague) help:
There is counterplay against the kangaroo. Try using items.
Jacob Collier - Djesse vol 4 (not for everyone but it’s exactly my shit)
Lucy Rose - This ain’t the way you go out
Catpack - both their singles are killer and their debut album comes out in June.
Cory Wong - The Lucky One (vinyl came out 2024 still counts even tho released late 2023)
Milton + Esperanza is prolly gonna be my album of the year, comes out soon and the first single is called “Outubro” out now.
Magdalini - For Spring (pretty good, world music with great harmony and rhythms)
Lawrence - Family Business (not out yet, check out their last album Hotel TV though.
Feel Better, Pt. 3 - Abbi Berry
There was a demo at one point, may still be available on steam.
Access to multiplayer games is no great loss to society, imo.
You also can’t play steam games without downloading their store.
I don’t think epic games is that bad as a game auto-uploader. I just wish it took less time to launch.
They also have a better revenue share for game devs, which is good because steam should be pressured to share more revenue.
Animal Well is great. Try to go in blind if you can. Metroidvania with metroidbrainia elements.
I want one so I can play BeamNG.drive with it.
I’ve been liking Born of Bread if you’re looking for more TTYD style games. It sold disappointingly poorly based on some bugs, but those are fixed now. The music and gameplay are fantastic.
There will be a 60fps patch for emulators y’all. If you’re willing to wait 2 to 3 weeks for ryujinx support.
It’s should not be a difficult game to run. It’s possible that the latest Yuzu plays it well without further development.
Saw a preview review that suggested the battle theme is remixed for different locations, also. And there’s a “classic music” badge for zero BP for nostalgia.
Even if I buy it, I’m still pirating it for 60 fps. Lmao.
Also, Citizen Sleeper has anti-capitalist themes. It’s like, a CRPG type game with a lot of replay value because there simply isn’t enough time to get everything done in one run. No overworld, though. There are just places to go and skill checks and such. The characters are great.
The Last Worker has you play as the last human worker at an Amazon type company. Mostly a narrative game. It’s 1st person 3d with voice acting. Gameplay is walking simulator-like, although you do get to fly a futuristic forklift.
I think you get contacted by some sort of socialist resistance org, and they have you fight the company. There was a physical switch release that my library had (!) but it’s on Steam too.
Like obviously this poem isn’t universal depression advice, but sometimes you do be needing more time.
If nothing else, the Starbucks union is asking people to not buy gift cards to Starbucks until their demands are met.
Avoiding shopping at a near-monopoly corporation is always a good thing if it’s not necessary for your survival.
Wait, there’s a pharmacist union? I thought that was illegal in the US. Is it somewhere else?
I feel like I’d enjoy a non-abusive boot camp (like just the exercise part), though. I always enjoy how I feel after conditioning workouts.
I think the idea is stop splashing your brain with meaningless pleasure from social media scrolling, and in a few days/weeks you might enjoy normal life a bit more and actually be able to sit with your own thoughts.
I’m trying out the FUTO Keyboard alpha build on android right now. Unlike Microsoft/Samsung/Google, it doesn’t require internet access permissions to provide auto correct, swipe functionality, and voice typing. In fact, the only permissions I gave it were mic access.
I already feel better using it because I have been wary of the default keyboard feeding all my data to large company.
It works probably 80% as well as my old one with swipe inputs, tbh. So that’s not bad. The voice to text has not failed me once.
It’s a Louis Rossman project. He’s a mostly decent libertarian that actually cares about privacy, but without internet access in the app, I don’t think you even need to trust him to use it. He’s also a right to repair activist.
Available on F-Droid, Play Store, and obtainium.
