Exactly! That’s their brain on idealism I guess.
Yea, I mean more that they use it as a litmus test. Shit like “Israel has a right to defend itself” and defending “Free Speech” for Nazis
Libs love tolerance for the intolerant, it’s like their version of leftist purity politics
GTA IV runs best on Linux under proton as well
I’ll play Baldur‘s Gate 3 when it’s released as abandonware
Hocus Pocus is a good one to check out, 4 games in the series, all great
Just like covid, why waste an opportunity to price gouge
Nope, and I don’t know why that trope remains. Just about anyone can get weed and try it themselves
I love peoples dipshit opinions about weed use, chalk it up under “sore losers”
Starbucks employees have had a lot of success. Might be worth reaching out to their Union and finding out how to unionize Chipotle, then start working on that process locally. That sound absolutely exhausting though and no guarantee’s of unionization
People in the west have been so used to having things their way that any sort of change is obviously the workers fault
That dickhead in charge of Chipotle specifically blamed the workers instead of taking ownership. That’s worth burning the company down I reckon
Those are all the same reasons I’ve been watching his stuff for years, and VWestlife even longer.
VWestlife even still makes most of his videos in like 480p with Windows Movie Maker and all in one take, he is incredibly true to how he wants to do things and I love that.
Cathode Ray Dude- mentioned elsewhere as well, generally cool dude
Tech Tangents - haven’t seen mentioned, another old tech guy that stays in his lane politically and makes cool content
Technology Connections - my favorite “well technically” nerd
VWestlife - a gem of youtube, untarnished by advertisers or thr algorithm
Dr. Angela Collier - Smart Science Dr who makes cool commie adjacent videos
Ethoslab - my one parasocial relationship is this reclusive canadian minecrafter who uploads once a month and I mostly catch on other peoples server streams
Robot Cantina - old dude that’s making diesel electric batter vehicles out of his garage for cheap, really cool electrical and mechanical engineering going on with just one dude, fabrication as well.
That’s my main “small business chud” talking point, ridiculous rents that drive up the base cost for absolutely everything and drive small businesses out.
A co-workers wife has had a used bookstore for a few years, had low rent negotiated with this cool old Chinese man. He passed away, the property was sold, and their rent is jumping so much she’ll have to close.
I foresaw this happening to them when they confided in me how precarious their business was and even then how much of what they made went towards rent despite them paying half “market value.” She doesn’t even pay herself a Salary, they just barely break even. When I asked them about it at the time it was just some nebulous future problem for them.
Probably bought the cheapiest bulkiest frozen patties dude could find at Cosco. I imagine those come down to a pretty small unit cost
I think this is a common opinion, whenever I talk about labor costs peoples eyes glass over
Chess is bourgeoise anyways, backgammon is the true game of the people.
Backgammon was also banned by the Catholic church so that’s funny, it’s already lived through one religious crusade.
Super funny story too:
~2020 Boeing outsourced the interior finishing work of Air Force one to a financially insolvent shell company 80% owned by the Saudi Arabian Government, GDC. GDC basically just took the money and did none of the work, lmao. Boeing got an extra $500 million of government funds out of it too when what they lost on that deal is an estimated $320 million. The whole program for delivering just two planes is ~2 billion over budget.
Allegedly the Saudi government diverted those payments for the Air Force One work to finishing their own 787-8 aircraft before dissolving GDC and abandoning the AF1 commitments, critical support for that maneuver
The videos cool, but something about that smugness when narrating about the german inability to recognize their own complicity in the Nazi’s genocide really got me heated. Real fucking tone deaf considering the current genocide these smug fucks support implicitly. USians, Germans, French, etc
Anyways. Muted with no subtitles this is some interesting footage, I’ve never seen WWII footage like this in color.
