It’s just the risk that has to be taken when threatening to bite, if the threat is bluff it’s not wise to try it. I mean it’s probably not wise to try it in the first place, but sometimes idiots just need some bared teeth at them to learn

Verbal warnings are for when the touching attempts haven’t yet happened. When the hands get close, the first snap is the warning. To have aura of insanity there are no second warnings
People are prepared for punching or screaming and shit, but usually nobody is prepared to get bit, so probably even if the risk of violence is higher. But getting a chunk out of some jerk has its own satisfaction, they will remember it even if you get hurt worse
Just quickly lean towards their hand and snap your teeth like you’re going to bite. Works with all sorts of unwanted touching, just be ready to actually bite if they’re also nuts and try again to call your bluff. Even if they get angry they’re much less likely to want to throw hands with the high possibility of getting bit hanging in the air.
The downside is you will look even more insane than with just fork stabs, but on the plus side you will look insane enough people will stay the fuck away in the future too
Tonava@sopuli.xyzto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What app/program do you wish existed and what does it do that you've not found elsewhere?3·10 hours agoI wish there’d be a proper family tree generator, I’ve been searching for one for so long. All the things existing now seem to be old and made to create actual existing family trees with lots of limitations, but I’d really need a tool to use for world building and that kind of stuff. To allow you create profiles with a lot of data for the characters in the tree, so you could view the info in some easy way, maybe by clicking to open an info window, or something like that. To be able to easily link them to each other with other things than just family relations (like friends, lovers, enemies…). Being able to properly put a picture on the profiles so it would show there in the tree, not just a name. Just being able to properly view the whole family tree at once by zooming in and out would be so nice, and to link it with other family trees etc…
There are games that have some family tree functions, but I don’t need nor want a gaming experience. I want to do these things freely, not with having to play some shit to be able to unlock something, or to have family trees generated around just played characters. I’ve tried using mind map generating stuff as well, but they have limited features, and it’s difficult to just create branches with them since everything is supposed to link back to one single thing.
If anyone knows about something like this existing somewhere, please do tell me!
I love your use of lines! Really captures the feeling of the place
Tonava@sopuli.xyzto You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK that apart from not having a car and voting, the single greatest thing you can do for the climate is simply eating less red meat.21·6 days agoIf anyone wants civil discussions about antinatalism stuff, the best bet is probably trying to find places that have strict bans on efilist ideologies (those are the “everything should die” people)
Where there is a will, there’s a way. I’ve seen a desire path form through 3m (10ft) tall pine bush on a steep hillside lmao
The rest of the gear is to reduce injury. You won’t die without it, but you will hurt. Maybe a lot.
With high speeds and asphalt humans easily become meat crayons
The biggest dog I’ve ever met was a great dane that weighed 80kg (~176lbs). I’m short, but his back was on my waist-height, and his head was a lot bigger than mine. He was completely black too, so quite the startling sight running towards you, genuinely looked like some sort of hell hound lmao. He was very friendly though, we met him at a dog park. The owner also told me they had to order custom harnesses for him, since nothing commercially made was big enough
For anyone considering getting one: sadly the bigger the dog is, the shorter the lifespan usually. Irish wolfhounds are already old at around 6 years. Just be prepared
This is why I need internet. Every time a question pops up (like etymology of some word or what is the native range of some bird or other obscure stuff) I can just search for the answer. Sometimes the information doesn’t exist, but even that is an answer, just not the one you wanted. Obviously it can also spiral into finding so much interesting stuff that you forget everything else and do couple hours or pointless research into subject that doesn’t really matter, but that’s not a downside if you look at it from a certain perspective.
What I really don’t understand is how so many people end up wondering about some facts in a conversation, then everyone goes “huh, that’s a good question” and just drop the subject and talk about something else. It usually takes less than a minute to do a quick search and everyone has a phone these days. So… how? How?!
Tonava@sopuli.xyzto Games@lemmy.world•What are your favourite single-player games without much fluff, grinding or difficulty spikes?English31·16 days agoHave you tried sandbox-like games, or just games that basically have no story line? Or is the more “adventuring” type of gameplay the one you enjoy the most? Personally I seem to find most games kinda boring outside puzzlegames and sandbox-things, since the typical stuff always has at least some form of grinding and I don’t really like fighting either.

I think his reasoning was to see how far the sign holding folks would go for money, and they apparently didn’t really have any limits. Should he have done and shown it on youtube is the thing he can be criticized for
That’s just fucked up. Some people are total garbage, I’m sorry you had to experience that
Would that then mean facially blind people can’t kill anyone? Damn
This is basically why it’s important to allow pets see the bodies of dead family members. Dogs, cats, birds etc. can all understand death to a point, but if the person or another pet just disappears, they might be left forever waiting. Just like how people can be left waiting and wondering what happened for decades if someone just goes missing.
