  • Yeah I also noticed there was a Hotel Savarin owner, probably an ancestor from the family that adopted Red. You can really see their love for that world in these litle things.

They really improved Fuga 2 as far as QoL goes, the skill rebalance was pretty well done, I liked how weaker skills got more powerful over time, and the auto load really ramped up the tension for players who tried to pretend the Soul Cannon didn’t exist.

I guess anything related to Tail Concerto and Solatorobo would have depend on the fans, on top of poor sales it’s likely that they are tied up to some arrangement with Atlus and Bandai. It’s sad to see that these games never get the reception they deserve but I’m so grateful that they keep at it regardless. Lets hope CyberConnect2 keeps getting anime games so that they can fund future entries.

  • Fuga: Melodies of Steel 1 and 2. CyberConnect2’s passion and commitment to their furry setting of Little Tail Bronx is amazing. That they have released games for it since the Playstation 1 and even though it sadly never sells well they keep at it clearly because they truly just love that world so much.

This time the game is a turn-based RPG with resource management focus about a bunch of kids who are trapped in a giant ancient tank and they have to use it to save their families from an invading army. The tank also has a special cannon that can destroy any enemy, including bosses, by using the life force of a child, which adds a lot of tension to the game. The game is equal parts adorable and tragic, but it leans towards a hopeful tone if you play well enough.

Really looking forward for the next one to conclude the trilogy.
