No prob, I’m thinking about sharing more news articles since it seems like the community is a little lacking in the department. Figured I’d do my part to fix that

That sounds like a good idea, although focusing all posts on here for the meantime would probably be best for community growth. iirc the branch off into memes happened because the community was large enough to warrant it.

I’m all for free speech, but we need to instate stricter rules and regulations for the press. Before Reagan came around, the press was federally funded, now look at the hellscape he has created

I feel bad for the lemmy.world admins that have to keep up with the software needed and costs accrued to handle the world knocking on their doorstep. I hope advertisers hit them up soon so their bills become easier to pay. While advertising was annoying on reddit, I’m more than willing to put up with it on this instance of lemmy, the admins have earned it.
