I wish I had some good advice to give, but all I have to say is that rhythmically complex shoegaze sounds like a really cool idea, and I hope you have some success in the future!

YewEyeOwe31@lemmings.worldto guitars@lemmy.world•Which is best amp/cabinet/sim setup for home?English5·12 days agoBefore paying a bunch for plugins, you may consider taking a look at Neural Amp Modeler/ and the NAM Universal plugins.
It’s free, and I believe an open source amp profiler. People upload profiles of their own gear on sites like Tonehunt.
It’s a little bit finicky to get the levels right with your interface, and overall less user friendly than the paid plugins, but when you do find some good settings it’s pretty nice overall. You can stack overdrive profiles with amp profiles, and do all kinds of crazy combinations. Quality of profiles is dependent upon the profile creator’s setup.

Edit: yeah, it’s satire, check the community about section.

So many of the things they did in gen 3 (and started in gen 2) like the weather, secret bases, and the daily events and activities (Lilycove lottery, TV announcements, outbreaks) added so much depth to the game.
It’s like a pure version of modern daily activities in games, without all the toxicity. And they did this all on cartridges with built in batteries.
YewEyeOwe31@lemmings.worldto RetroGaming@lemmy.world•Almost finished Gold and looking forward to starting Emerald.English1·1 month agoThat’s true, but from what I remember wasn’t super intuitive. Maybe I’m wrong though - I was a child the last time I ran through it all.
YewEyeOwe31@lemmings.worldto RetroGaming@lemmy.world•Almost finished Gold and looking forward to starting Emerald.English8·1 month agoGet ready for the brass section when you play Emerald! Memes aside - the Hoenn soundtracks are some of the coziest, most nostalgic set of songs.
I think it’s fun to do the brail puzzles without looking up the solutions online - other than a brail alphabet.

YewEyeOwe31@lemmings.worldto [Dormant, move to !television@lemm.ee] Shows and TV@lemm.ee•Annihilation - 2018English9·2 months agoHighly recommend the first book that the movie was based on. To a certain extent enjoyed the two sequels of the original trilogy.
Jeff Vandermere just released a new prequel book called Absolution that was a little bit tougher of a read for me for some reason (probably because it has been nearly 8 years since I read the original series), but still fascinating if you like the area X books.
He has some other weird fiction books that are definitely worth scoping out too: Borne is very different from annihilation but the characters have really stuck in my head since I read it. Almost everything he touches seems to touch on humanity’s relationship with the environment.
Does SSX count as a racing game?
If so, SSX was huge for my prepubescent self.

When this album got leaked, there was this “You are listening to a Vagrant Records advance promotional stream” message that would play about every 45 seconds that I have strange nostalgia for.
YewEyeOwe31@lemmings.worldto Gaming@lemmy.ml•How do you fix the online ban on your account for Elden Ring?2·2 months agoGotcha, that’s a bummer. I think it’s unlikely that they would revert the ban. Does it straight up say you are banned or does it use the terminology “you have been penalized”?
At any rate - may be worth checking out the seamless multiplayer mod. I don’t have any personal experience with it but I do remember reading that it doesn’t technically use From’s servers. So if you use that offline it may not matter if you are banned by From - you could still be able to engage with multiplayer users of the mod. I can’t confirm this, but maybe someone else knows more.
YewEyeOwe31@lemmings.worldto Gaming@lemmy.ml•How do you fix the online ban on your account for Elden Ring?2·2 months agoThis answer is based on what I know from DS3 so may not be 100% applicable to ER.
Unfortunately, unless you were banned by some mistake by FromSoft, I think it is unlikely that they will unban your account. You can try to email their support staff, but they historically tend to be pretty rigid about these kind of things.
In the past people have been able to get back online on Steam by setting up family sharing accounts - however going through this route you won’t be able to use your preexisting characters and will need to start over again. I have no idea if this is still an option or not.
Do you have any idea about why the ban was applied to your account? Were you using any overhaul mods or other mods? For the future - a good amount of mods recommend that you put the game in offline mode to avoid getting flagged for banning when you log in to From’s servers, so always read the install instructions on any mods closely.
It looks like the mod here (Lexam) just gave you the green light to share if you feel comfortable. I’d love to hear it!
