I agree that they seem to have just taken the US support as a massive attempt to both get their cause seen by more people (which is helpful in changing hearts and minds away from the “they are PPK and PKK are ‘terrorists’” which was how they were presented by even US propaganda). And to use the really good opportunity in the fight against ISIS to get any and all supplies they could from the US in order to keep their area defended for the inevitable attacks from Türkiye after ISIS. Though I am not sure how many weapons and other defense related items they were able to get (but supplies are supplies). They still need to make sure to walk the fine lines with the Syrian government to be sure.

The most fucked thing that they have been left with is the ISIS prisoners and their families. The longer that those massive numbers of people are left in limbo due to all the nations that they originated from not wanting to take them back. The worse shit will be when those folks break out of containment. Shit would be great to use by Türkiye especially as an excuse to “legitimately” invade. Which means brutal genocide of the Kurds from both sides. And if the open air prisons go on long enough, it will be easy for bad-faith actors to eventually paint them as doing what Israel is doing with Gaza/West Bank. Which isn’t what they are doing, but multiple generations of families being imprisoned (even if said prisons weren’t setup by the Kurds for that length of time in mind) for crimes against humanity that the new generation didn’t commit will be easy to use for propaganda.

The Kurds are resourceful, but trying to figure out how to allow people out without it turning into a bloodbath is beyond fucked. It might have been easier (and still beyond fucked) to have not taken prisoners and kill anyone and everyone that flew the ISIS flag before “victory” was claimed. They know that a majority of prisoners actively plan and openly speak about the torture and murder they will commit if they are able to get out. Which I imagine is what the long term goal of Türkiye and other hostile powers wish to make happen. The nations that want to keep their hands clean of bringing ISIS families back home to have to deal with are fine with Kurds being killed. Just like how the US and the West have done with green-washing themselves by pushing shit off onto “third world” nations.

I only had Moderna’s shots, and only the first three (the main first two and then a booster). The only one that had me feeling any of the ways you have been was the second one of the three. No real issues aside from maybe feeling like I was tired at the end of the day (but for the whole day). Though I think that my ADHD meds countered it feeling worse. Seems that his own words should mean that the Dems should actually be doing everything possible to help third parties elevated. If he and the Dems really and truly cared about stopping the very party that they constantly say is both fascist and overall evil/threat to freedom. Then they should be actively push through full access of at least the Green Party. Which they don’t want, even if it means constantly moving to the right. Fuck them and their fake concern and fear mongering. They show their true colours by how they reacted to the Trump shooting. If he is truly the “biggest threat to actual freedom” then they should have said nothing at the very least.

I just figured that a server would show as a space and have the rooms listed. But I am also not a big Matrix user and after reading your reply, I did check the spaces I have joined and they do seem to be from the default Matrix server. I also just noticed that even though I joined the vetting questions and answers rooms that someone that joined after me gave answers. But I don’t see any questions provided since I joined like 48hrs ago being sent to me. So I might just make a second account via the actual server. Just noticed that the Element app seems to not have a multi account option. So will just need to either be logging in and out to check for stuff in my current stuff. I am trying to load the server on Element. Was looking at the info from the sidebar about how to join. But I am missing something I think. It says that if I am using my account from the default matrix server that I need an email. But it doesn’t say where I need to use that in order to find the server to join. I can manage to search and find individual rooms, but not like a main way to have the server itself with the subrooms show up. Do you happen to know what I might be missing?

They really seem to ignore that said conscripts are more or less handed weapons by the oppressors committing genocide. And puts them in a good position to just take all the weapons they can and build an armed resistance with said weapons. They might have been forced into being there, but they could be finding others and merc-ing the genocidal and apartheid fucks. If the right-wing govs want to unintentionally arm the left and other people that know said govs are evil. Then it seems foolish to not exploit the fuck out of it. Even if the conscripts might have been initially not against their govs. The moment that they wake the fuck up, it is basically still supporting evil if they don’t rebel. Shit is already a war, so the otherwise regular day to day things that might hold someone back are gone. You are either going to be killed for following orders and attacking the oppressed. Or you might get killed for fighting back. If being killed is likely anyway, then fucking at least be on the correct side of shit.

That’s what I always get annoyed by when brands known for caffeine get into alcohol. Is it bad to mix a high or kind of high level of caffeine with alcohol given the Four Loko stuff? For sure. But shit is basically false advertising for these things. I don’t drink energy drinks for the taste, and there are much better things to mix if that is the point of this drink. It isn’t even a very high percent in the first place. So calling it “The Beast” is also lame af. I am guessing it is perfect for the teens that already drink a lot of regular Monsters to jump to and looks enough like the non-alcohol versions to be easy to sneak.

I have somehow avoided getting it since the jump, and given how little the corps seem to care at this point. I sometimes kind of hope that somehow my entire department would catch a not place us in the hospital level version all at the same time. As it really feels that the “must slash as many workers as possible to make the most money” corps learned nothing from how badly the “just in time” setup falls apart if shit happens. Even though I have worked the entire time without getting sick, I feel like I (and my co-workers) have just been constantly punished for being well. Even when my department has seen massive churn from losing people so quickly (myself and my manager who was doing the same job as me before getting the title) are the only ones left from the start of things. And have seen at least four full cycles of people coming and going.

No one is given anything close to actual training, and when we do try to train them, we and they are just pulled in five other directions due to lack of workers in other departments. And the top leaders (the GM and other people right below GM) are the types to freak out if so much as two people stand next to each other and might be a line. Funny thing though is that they often pull people from the front check-out areas. So there are customers that walk up to the check-out and are just so confused as to how to even pay. The drive for artificially making the profit numbers higher needs to cause massive crashes soon. But they all just keep pushing for trying to copy the push for online sales above all else.

It is never enough, so I really really hope that their greed causes a cascade of failures. If they all want to punish us for even just showing up to work and can purge us at any time. Then I at least want to see the thing they care the most about fall harder. Their profits. I want to see C-suite, board members, and major share holders jump from their offices. And I want to see actual heads removed from those that don’t. And I want to repeat their condescending speeches they gave/give to the workers when they speak of how “we all must make sacrifices.” Would also be nice to force them to watch as we literally pour gas on stacks of money and light it on fire in their last moments.

I don’t know enough of the econ level stuff and there seem to be lots of good answers. I will say that with regards to things like finding treatments for illnesses that don’t impact many people should be better under socialism. As a lot of treatments tend to lose funding due to there being less money in those kinds of illnesses (unless they find a larger use that also still happens to work). And things like game controllers would fall under assistive tools and seem like they would see more efforts.

While I really really don’t want it to be Covid. I sometimes really wish that my entire department would all catch something that would mean we all were sick enough to be down for like a few days. As it would be a real treat to have a shock to the leadership of our store see how fucked they are without us. The reason I want us to be sick is that it is the only way they couldn’t do anything against us legally and I am somehow always like the only person that never calls out and just feel I am punished for never doing so. I never stopped working when the massive shutdowns happened and somehow have not caught Covid even when people around me have. But even though I kept coming in, I always somehow find myself on management’s shit list for being late a bunch or seen as somehow not “being a team player.”

The only leader that has my back is my direct one and that is because she was in the shit with me since before all of this and wasn’t my boss. So I also include her in wanting to be not allowed to come in due to being sick. The GM and other folks always think we don’t do enough (even when we are overloaded and they still try to pull us away from our appointments and fulfilling promises that customers were sold). I would absolutely love for them to try and give us any write-ups or anything if we were all verified to be too sick to work.

Just knowing that they wouldn’t have anyone that is allowed or trained to do our jobs and have to actually deal with our asshole entitled clients would make me happy. And it would be very easy to use it as an example for what a walk-out could do if needed later on for those that aren’t on team “let’s do a union” vibe.
