Oh my god you actually think that was a foul that’s hilarious

No you didn’t. You explained why UEFA changed their minds later and said it was offside, But you didn’t explain why the VAR and the ref both thought it was a foul.

This ref did not. This ref disallowed the goal for a foul. Why did he do that?
But the ref also indicated foul with his hand signal.
It does at least raise a suspicion that they were just trying to disallow the goal no matter the reason. And I don’t agree with ‘clear as day’, but we are both biased so it is a pointless discussion.
Can you explain how both the VAR and the ref indicated it was a foul, despite apparently having a full discussion between them that it was offside?

This will be a relaxed and level-headed thread
the goal keeper could clearly move, that’s why he clearly moved, just not in the right direction
I think we disagree on what interfering means, but we are both very clouded by bias so this discussion is pointless

The VAR overlay said foul, the ref did the hand signal for ‘foul’ and not the raised flat palm for offside. Even if it’s for offside, it is exceptionally soft.

I demand Cup Winners’ Cup to be added to the graphic.
