For me Klee brings a sort of child like innocence and wonder in his paintings. They observe the world without judgement but with glee and joy.
I really enjoy Paul Klee’s work, including whimsical pieces as this one.
I’m unsure what I’m seeing. Is it laying on its side?

Have a go at ‘The Measure of All Things’ by Ken Alder, a very interesting book on that subject.
