I think if you want to turn people identities into slurs that Lemmy isn’t the right place for you, you might enjoy Xitter they seem to love it.
Programmer by day, burnt out by night.

I’m also getting sick of everything turned into a slur, so maybe don’t do it, then.
What if your name/identity/love was a slur? I don’t think you’d grow a thicker skin!
Femboys are not the only ones who have been in the hospital
Hmm keyboard wtf are you implying?
This is from Haruhi Suzumiya, isn’t it?
“Photos of Norwich”, man what have they ever done?
Meanwhile I was thinking of the Dutch saying “Je vindt de hond in de pan” (you’ll find the dog in the pot/pan), for when someone arrives after the event has passed.
Man, never have I wanted to be a starfish so bad in my life.
Tip, ndesktop you can right-click the video at the right time and click “Copy video URL at current time”
If not on desktop, you can add &t=
after a Youtube URL followed by a seconds-timestamp, for ex. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MM4lJKfu5Mg&t=112 to start the video at the 112nd second (or at 1m52s)
Ah I guess that makes more sense!
Now if it was Debian with the Gnome DE vs Ubuntu, that would’ve been ironic!
I never had good luck making hardware work right with ubuntu Debian, […] always worked way better out of the box on bare metal
Oh the irony!
I’ve been running Mint on my Dell XPS 9370 (methinks) for years and it’s always worked just fine.
Only the fingerprint scanner just won’t work, not even with fprintd
; it can set up a finger but never to use that same finger afterwards.
Sure but generally they’re not, it’s not BDSM and even then all BDSM is different.
And even then, a person descriptor like that shouldn’t be an insult by default.
I have saved it outside of Lemmy!
And that picture’s… Memable!
The soyjack pic really finishes it off.
Let’s not use “cuck” as a slur, please.
I love the customisability of KDE
I read this often but found KDE so difficult to customise. XFCE or Cinnamon is what I’d consider extremely customisable, KDE doesn’t even consistently listen to what theme colour I set :-(
Sometimes I read these kinds of memes and think to myself: “Phew, I’m doing p good, still!”
I’m sorry for your coffee, OP.
Vague sense of feeling I forgot something
Only able to remember when I need it outside of the house
Okay this hits me in the guts.
Well tbf meds might make you go into withdrawal, so it’s like telling someone to stop taking their blood pressure, diabetes or anticonception meds. Which you also wouldn’t do.
I guess that’s fairly harmless… Why?
