post this on Facebook and say it’s the US airforce general staff. Rioters will have burned DC to the ground by sundown.

The Saudis…?

pro tip is to leave a bunch of papers in your car with your protest slogan on it and then go [redact] some low level politicians

FWIW we likely wont know what was hit (and for good reason) but the lack of radiation leaking from any of the sites is a good sign. The damage seems mainly to be to leadership, which will hurt Iran’s efforts but nuclear industries are built on the science and labour of thousands if not millions of people - the assassinations are just to instill terror into the political class of Iran

Absolutely. Im so numb to the violence but it still overwhelms me. It’s good that you still feel that emotion for others, we must always remember that a revolutionary is guided by great feelings of love ❤️

On a side note, is there much info on the dress code in Iran? From what I can see, it’s mainly about covering your legs from the ankles up, covering arms from the elbows up, and covering the top of your head if you’re a woman. And even then I imagine foreigners get less hassle.
Like, all of the pictures of Iranian women in Chabod (the typically-black head-to-toe covering) is purely exploiting for propaganda purposes the women who congregate in their choice of clothing.
Those women have more autonomy over their appearance and modesty than a lot of women do in the west. We may not have formal religious or moral police, but instead we have at least a third of society who harass, assault, and ---- women deemed “not modest enough”. We have recreated modesty police culturally yet talk of liberating women into our own fucked up systems of misogyny.

It’s my favourite Gramsci quote if not the most harrowing.

The horrors will be there when you get back xx

Mmhmm. I was up way too late last night when Im meant to be watching my sleeping schedule.

Agreed. I don’t think its about necessarily ignoring or permanently unplugging, but for example using RSS feeds to get news in a more structured manner, or temporarily uninstalling apps and reinstalling later to catch up on things.
Like, I’m super interested in this stuff too, but also I don’t need to know the up to the minute headlines on what is happening on the front lines of Ukraine, or the minute by minute preparations of Iranian ballistic missile bases. But having those apps on my phone during these specific times makes it likely that I’ll be refreshing constantly.
In the end it’s not about un-informing ourselves but accepting that a small delay in that information will do our souls some benefit.

Not saying you should ignore the state of the world, or stop talking about it (I’ve done the opposite today) but social media is not conducive to that effort, even if the face of it may seem informative.
Taking breaks from apps that turn these events into pseudo-entertainment and attention sucking vacuums makes it harder to engage with that.

Trump being like “i said 60 days and today is day 61 u should surrender to our terms lol” probably helps

how long until the first trump card holder gets muscled into an unmarked van and sent to El Salvador anyway?

pillows will be planted beneath windows of houses of welfare recipients, I assume she means
