When a story starts to bring in prophecy as part of the writing. As soon as a character does something “because the prophecy speaks of…”, I feel that the writers ran out of plausible ideas and use that as a cheap crutch.
Battlestar Galactica was a great show, but they should’ve skipped that part.
I have a vague memory from the late 90’s during the dotcom bubble where there was this site where you could pay, log in, remotely control an actuated hunting rifle, and shoot an animal. It was deemed legal as it was legal where the actual shot was fired.

Two Raspberry Pi Zero W arrived in the mail today. One will be a VPN gateway for when I’m out and about and I wanna log into my home network.
The other one might be a print and scan server.
I’ve set up the basics on one of them and connected to an unused USB port in my TV for power so that I can ssh into it and tinker with it during idle hours.
I have a bunch of SD cards leftover from work, and I intend to set up various images for various uses, so I can move the boards around as I please and just swap the card to whatever I want to do.
The boards are dirt cheap, so I kind of wish I had bought more than two.
