stuff like automod is stricter controls, not necessarily just requiring applications, but having open registrations without anything is not sustainable.

you have open registrations without any form of validation while also being federated. this puts a burden on all other fediverse instances by allowing your instance to be abused by spammers. if you don’t have enough moderation on instance level you really shouldn’t be running an instance without any checks for registrations.

dafür brauchts kein “weil”, das ist ein idiot der schon seit über nem jahr mit regelmäßig neuen accounts auf lemmy unterwegs ist und grundsätzlich alles und jeden als genocider bezeichnet, beleidigt und zu deren mord aufruft. das kann man in der regel schon am benutzernamen und alter des accounts erkennen.

Sätze wie “So now the Jews own the USA,UK, and Germany, who else?”

faschist, rassist und mehr. die ganze instanz (sowie weitere instanzen unter der gleichen domain) haben wir inzwischen deföderiert, das ist ein admin einer “freeze peach” instanz.

oder “Of course the germ is pro-genocide. You guys are historically notorious for supporting bombing civilians”

das ist der gleiche troll wie am anfang.

allgemein habe ich nicht das gefühl dass es aktuell oder auch in den kommenden jahren wirklich besser wird was politische themen angeht, insbesondere in englischsprachigen communities. ich denke aber nicht dass sich das aufs fediverse beschränkt oder hier besonders stark vertreten ist wenn man das mit anderen plattformen vergleicht. was hier eventuell zurzeit noch etwas problematischer ist ist reaktionszeit auf meldungen.

es bedeutet auch Deutschkenntnisse

es kommt immer auf die inhalte an.

hin und wieder gibt es leute die einfach nur werbung posten, teils in ihrer eigenen community. in der regel keine nutzer von uns, aber die inhalte landen trotzdem bei uns.

und dann gibt es noch andere inhalte, bei denen die entsprechenden nutzer nicht nur auf communityebene moderiert werden sollten sondern auch direkt einen instanzbann benötigen.

sachen die nicht gegen instanzregeln verstoßen lassen wir in der regel für die communitymods stehen. aktuell ist das in lemmy leider noch etwas schwierig zu trennen, da es keine separaten listen für adminreports und modreports gibt. ich hoffe dass das besser wird wenn lemmy 1.0 irgendwann rauskommt, aber das ist mindestens noch einige monate hin.

Die geschätzte Arbeitslast liegt derzeit bei einigen Stunden pro Woche, bei mehr Beteiligten entsprechend weniger.

Die Zeit ist immer davon abhängig wie viel Leute sich einbringen können und wollen. Mit mehr Leuten braucht man in der Regel auch weniger Zeit pro Person investiert.

Die reine Moderation sollte in der Regel, wenn gerade nichts größeres los ist, vermutlich mit 1-2 Stunden pro Woche bereits erledigt sein, aber in komplexeren Fällen kann dies auch schnell mehr werden. In den meisten Fällen ist dies bei Eingang einer neuen Meldung kurz drauf gucken und ggf. Inhalte entfernen.

automodkonfiguration, ggf. auch teilweise entwicklung. hängt natürlich auch von den skills ab ob das in frage kommt, ist keine harte anforderung.

damit leute die kein deutsch verstehen trotzdem wissen was los ist

probier mal zu deabonnieren, ne minute warten, dann wieder abonnieren. evtl. kommen dann auch erst zukünftige uploads

das sollte ab sonntag abend besser werden. auf lemmy.world sind die relevanten bugfixes bereits live.

we’re currently working on some infrastructure changes that will allow more granular blocking for feddit.org, separating it from the blocking used for other fediverse foundation services, as currently all fediverse foundation services are sharing the same blocklist.

I was just pointing out logical consequences of the state at the time, that was not an argument towards defederation. Sure, other mods can communicate if they’re not banned from another instance, but as a mod you probably wouldn’t be ban evading to get your mod communication through to someone, if you message them and it gets ignored due to never being seen by the intended recipient you’ll just ban that person and move on.
