Pika Backup (GUI for borgbackup
) is a great app for backups. It has all the features you might expect from backup software and “just works”.

It’s kinda Lemmy + Mastodon. It has magazines, which are like Lemmy communities, threads, which are like Lemmy posts, upvotes and downvotes. But you can also post outside of a magazine (well it’s called m/random), it has posts, like Mastodon posts and boosts, also like Mastodon boosts.
As long as the game does not depend on Steam APIs for DRM (which is not Valve’s fault), you can absolutely copy over the game files and play it outside of Steam, and even use Proton, although it’s only officially supported in Steam.
Probably not the goal, but a NixOS-based begginer distro could be great, with one app to install all your package and one app to manage all your settings. (I personally really like the idea of having app settings in the “general” settings app). But probably the killer advantage of NixOS is that it’s really hard to break and really easy to fix, which is important for a distro aimed at the general public.
P.S.: Also check out nix-software-center by the same guy.
I’m curious, will that work with Motherboards released until then, or just new motherboards from that point onwards?
I recently disabled Dash to Panel, and installed Pop Shell. I’m loving it so far, using my Trackpad gestures from switching between workspaces. Granted, I don’t really need more than 3 or 4 desktops (Browser, Terminal, Messaging…) and it’s not quite vanilla as I have Pop Shell managing tiling for me (but still pretty close!). I also need to try it with my “docked” workflow, using an external monitor and keyboard shortcuts (as opposed to trackpad gestures).
NixOS. If you played around with Arch you’ll be fine. My only gripe (although it’s kind of important) is NVIDIA doesn’t work. Call me lazy but I haven’t felt like switching to an other distro, plus I’m not much of a hardcore gamer.
Ohhh…
