Milkshake time?

I think the more useful thing to do is not to hide these stereotypes, but to state and then question them. There’s this passage from Lords and Ladies -

Elves are wonderful. They provoke wonder.

Elves are marvellous. They cause marvels.

Elves are fantastic. They create fantasies.

Elves are glamorous. They project glamour.

Elves are enchanting. They weave enchantment.

Elves are terrific. They beget terror.

The thing about words is that meanings can twist just like a snake, and if you want to find snakes look for them behind words that have changed their meaning.

Elves can then be used as an allegory of how the aristocracy does the most horrible things one can imagine, but then surround themselves with an air of refinement.

It is funny, and shows the context in which neonazis are regaining vround in Germany. It also has unscripted scenes where ‘Hitler’ talks to ordinary Germans and promises to solve all their problems.

You can make cattle feed out of it though.

Many European countries as well - Ireland and Spain were expected, but France, Norway, Belgium and even Poland seem to have voted yes.

But wouldn’t penalties / sanctions only work on countries that rely on the dollar?

I read that Galloway will be introduced to the House of Commons by Corbyn. (This is just a formality; Galloway has been an MP before and knows the drill.)

• Reduced expenditure on constructing and maintaining parking lots. Include the costs of security / cameras.

• Company has better control over when employees come and go.

• Employees can start working while on the bus (reading mails, catching up with co-workers, etc.).

• PR department can highlight this as a new green policy. They might even be able to convince the local government to bear a part of the costs, or give some other monetary reward.

John Calvin preached the doctrine of predestination. In this view, God’s elect will go to heaven and nerds go to hell. This wasn’t some deviation from a lot of traditional Catholic teachings, but he had a weird fixation on it.

Huh? Catholic and Orthodox churches do not believe in predestination.
