That’s a good question: How much of Kafka is Kafka, and how much is Kaiju?
What I hope we don’t get is a b.s. internal dialogue and negotiation between Kafka and the thing, where Kafka wins because he’s the good guy and wants to be with his friends, or other b.s.
I like the way that Parasyte handled its similar premise: The alien parasite subtly influenced its host’s psychology and improved his body to be a braver better fighter, but only viewed it as necessary for its own survival.
Fable outclasses the yakuza thugs and pro hitmen with his boosted toy gun bullets.
I love Sunagawa’s face design, it’s so expressive and full of personality from all angles!
Of all the Japanese mythological beings, we don’t see Oni until this episode, and even they have a tragic backstory…
De-powered Demon Lord is so cuuuute!
And they were siblings, so they had a lot in common, right?
The dispatching of both big and little Petrolas seemed kind of routine.
It makes me doubt whether the boss monsters were ever a match for even a single Dragon Keeper.
How did D not reveal his identity when the fake gadgets were revealed?
And what was Petrolas’ goal for invading the Rangers base anyway?
This other unnamed boss seems to be gone without throwing a fist.
So many problems with the writing on this…
Which candidate did you like better?
I actually liked the 2nd better, i.e. Kumiko. The first sounded a little too brassy to me, while the 2nd more soulful.
Beautiful crying scene at the end, which could give away the ending, which is why I chose this screenshot instead:
I think that Tanjiro’s been through all of the Hashira training camps, whatever he was supposed to do at Giyu’s…
Back to the fighting next episode, hopefully?
I am liking WBK.
As @wjs018@ani.social says, it’s a fight-of-the-week show, but at the same time it’s a parody of the delinquent fight-to-the-top genre, where despite his best efforts, the MC gains social stature and rises in the school’s very socially respectable delinquent hierarchy. i.e. he’s rising in the delinquent hierarchy like he set out to at the beginning, but not in the way that he expected nor wanted to.
It has some nice animation too. The figure animation in the fights is quite good, with action scenes seemingly rotoscoped from kung fu movies, parkour clips, with even 1 or 2 sakuga moments.
And the fighting has less bullshit “My dick is bigger than yours! No, my dick is bigger than yours!, No wait, my dick is bigger than yours!” magic shit like JJK or Naruto. Sure, the “good delinquents” are tougher than anything alive and can take punches that should demolish small houses.
The writing is also decent. Unlike the recent failed delinquent fighting comedy “Bucchigiri?!?” the MC is cool to watch and has a relatable journey as he learns real lessons about leadership and what it really means to be “top delinquent”
It’s my second week drinking that Four Sisters Donut Shop Blend from Grocery Outlet, and… It’s okay…
It’s not completely awful, and it’s definitely functionally caffeinated, but without a paper filter it’s bitter.
With a filter, it does have a sweetness and fruity acidity that’s nice.
As if it’s made as a filter coffee, which sounds weird, but I suppose it must be possible.
Speaking of paper filters, I started using a mesh filter in my aeropress, and… The result tastes very similar to my French press…
I got a pack of two mesh filters: One 250 microns, the other 200 microns, and the 200 micron filter doesn’t let any fines through at all.
I am alternating days between the two, and I have to say the paper filter in the Aeropress makes a huge improvement in smoothness and taste.
Mostly I have no clue as to what will be good, so aside from what others have posted:
Kinnikuman - Because Production I.G. should be good. Then again, Boukyaku Battery…
The Fable S2 - Because apparently I’m the only person in this /c/ who watched this.
Kengan Ashura S2, Part 2 whenever that shows up mid season in August ?!?
Already mentioned:
Oshi No Ko S2 - Heck yeah!!!
Tower Of God S2 - Rahelu must die a slow painful death…
Plus sized Elf
Without fuzes, which are only screwed in just before firing, modern artillery shells are really difficult to set off.
If you think about it, the act of firing a shell out of a cannon and sending it miles away is pretty violent, but the shells don’t explode in the cannon.
Without the correct fuzes, the shells won’t even explode when they land.
Is “Have you had an abortion?” going to be on Texas college application forms?
If so, will there be room for an accompanying essay?
I don’t get it. Is Pembrose the couch?
The girls are finally (almost) all together for an overnight camp! End of the season, so it’s time to talk about what they’re doing in their second year in school!
Things are slowly happening?
Little saucers getting vaporized, a big saucer crashes, the girls take their university entrance exams, and in the biggest surprise this week we learn they’re 18 years old.
I’m saying for his next disinformation show
TIL Lindsay Lohan not dead from drugs, alcohol.
Could be one of those C-suite power plays:
Texeira is managing their one profitable product profitably and looks destined to be CEO.
The old CEO Baker suddenly resigns, and appoints Chambers as (permanent) successor CEO.
Chambers and/or Baker is in tight with the head of HR Chehak, and gets her to declare that Texeira is physically unfit for his job as Chief Product Officer or any other job at Mozilla.
Chambers and/or Baker get their wish for Chambers to become CEO;
Demonstrably competent exec Texeira is essentially out of a job;
Great success!
Depends on how likely your bank thinks you are to default on your mortgage…
Tell your bank, you’ve lost your job, going to prison, and you’re newly divorced with large alimony payments. /s obviously.
If you think the anime is good, it captured the essence of the source webtoon really well.
