It’s interesting how we talk about 100 billion dollars as if they came out of thin air and go back to thin air, in common parlance. Whose pockets did all this “aid” end up in? Without even looking it up I can pretty much say a lot of it went back to the congressmen who voted for it, now they realize giving more to Ukraine is not wise as Ukraine has all but lost.

I suppose technically it does come out of thin air, according to modern monetary theory. And yeah, those congress people would definitely getting a bunch of it back because they own tons of stock those companies that benefit from the aid packages.

They always print money for military spending (Of course, the term “foreign aid” sounds better, but that’s a load of shit). But they couldn’t even fathom printing a dollar for anybody’s college tuition. Not to mention college used to be free (or extremely cheap) in the U$A. But it’s been a long time since that was true.

A bunch of it will ultimately go to Blackrock. Another chunk to the murder machines industry. If any of it is actually spent abroad and not just used to send domestic weapons and other goods away, those dollars will cycle back and fund next year’s budget deficit.

Well first let’s see if it gets past the Senate as I tend to doubt it. But if it does we’ll have to see if he vetoes as he threatened to.

Then let’s see who caves first, the Republicans based on their desire not to miss out on funding a genocide or Biden’s.

The upcoming election will at least be more amusing than normal. They might actually jail Trump to keep him out of office because of his disruptive presence passive effect that gives the US a -5 to controlling its vassals among other negative stats such as the automatic -5 to stability perception they get the day he walks into office after swinging violently back and forth between him and old genocide Joe.

Anything could happen. I do feel like Democrats are purposefully trying to lose. But what you said is possible too for those reasons. Because of the structure of US government, the ruling class could try to keep Biden in while also hoping for a red legislative wave. That way the bourgeois regime will still have some legitimacy as everything goes according to plan, while progressive defeats continue to happen because of the theatre of “gridlock.” Biden’s senile ass has proved to be an incredibly useful puppet for them. He’s been a successful neocon.

Even then, that strategy is still a gambit for the capitalist class. If the most hardcore MAGA Republicans achieve the proper numbers in the house and senate, then the ruling class will have essentially let the dogs off the leash. The system will just further descend into instability.

I’m interested as to what extent the influence of Neoconservatism on the Republican Party, as they’ve all been pretty unambiguously absolute in their support for Israel. Frankly they’ve been even more publically frothing at the mouth in bloodlust.

Who knows, maybe a second Trump presidency will be more eager to launch another crusade in the Middle East than Biden.

We have to remember that Israel has one of the world’s most well equipped and advanced army and are wageing war against a single city defend by guerillas building rockets in their garage. Without US support they are doomed.
