Is Football Manager good? I’d like to try it but I’m kinda an idiot and don’t know much about tactics/formations/etc. Is it newcomer friendly or will I get my ass kicked?
Imagine if they helped Bromley rise up the leagues!
For real, though, I wonder what this job would actually entail. I imagine it’d be glorified work experience because Bromley are doing well and Andy Woodman seems a very good manager himself, but I guess it could include some analysis work and the like.
My time is now
If its any consolation i took woking from the national league to the UCL in 6 seasons, stuff like that doesnt go unnoticed.
This is actually super interesting. Im a former Bromley resident, go to their home games when I can and love footie man. Weirdly my save last year was Cray Valley PM and im going to watch them in their FA Cup replay tomorrow eve.
Ill definitely give this a go if only for a bit of fun.
Edit: I only buy the game every 2 years and this year was supposed to be a dead year. Alas the marketing has worked and I will buy the game lol.
They seem to be going big on marketing this year - there’s been a few FM stories on the BBC website in the last week or so. Wonder if they’re having to pull out the stops after Miles basically admitted this year’s game wasn’t going to be anything groundbreaking as they’re more focused on next year.
This is probably the most complete FM prior to the switch to Unity and build from the ground up.
Personally I’m wary of the Unity version so I’m going to get this and skip next year’s.
Completed it mate
You need to be 18? Damn
yes, because the prize is a full time job with the football club
The search for the next Will Still has begun!
My time has come
I’ve taken Chelsea to 3rd as of January of 2024 and we’ve turned a profit so far.
I haven’t even cheated.
Honestly sometimes I don’t understand how we’re so shit. Then I have to make substitutions.
I won the UCL with Everton, Dobbin scored in the final.
I don’t need to apply, they can just offer me the job based on that.
As a bromley fan this makes me happy
I am currently 5th with Gladbach, hit me up. Ubeaten at home, but lost every away game in the league. Knocked out of pokal by Hansa Rostock.
Sounds like the average Gladbach season
Genuinely could be a Gladbach season.
This is it, guys. I have trained for this day.
