Guillermo del Toro and other filmmakers are championing physical media over streaming.
Last time I had to buy a CD/DVD/BR player was in 2010. It was built-in my Mac. I used it 5 times in its whole lifetime, during the first year of the device.

Del Toro should finance a kind of library, the purpose of which would be to preserve physical copies of films and shows.
That would be cool. Something I appreciate about Scorsese is how much he has done for preserving old films.
How about any option at all to buy digital movies DRM-free? Buying a “streaming copy” is not a substitute.
